3 lessons from acquisition.com workshop with Hormozi's team:

#1 - There's only one constraint in your business. 

If your business isn't growing, it's due to:

a) a lack of identifying that constraint, or 
b) a lack of force to fix it.

#2 - It's not what, it's who.

Every new hire should lift the bar; if they aren't, you're failing as a recruiter.

#3 - Revenue is more important than key-man risk.

There are three components to determining enterprise value:
a) revenue & EBITDA
b) value adders 
c) value subtractors 

Trying to solve key-man risk (value subtractor) is less important than solving for a & b. 

Aim to maximise revenue before solving for value subtractors.

In ecom, the biggest lie is: “just spend more on ads, and you’ll become more profitable.”

That only works if your operating expenses stay flat – and in real life, they almost never do.

As revenue grows, most brands add people, agencies, software and warehousing, so OpEx climbs with it.

At the same time, paid media gets less efficient the harder you push it, so extra spend ≠ extra profit.
