    • By great team leadership, the team exceeded EBITDA target in 2019 by 58% - £2.7m v £1.7m and on target to beat EBITDA by 20%+ in 2020 despite Covid-19 headwinds.

I headed up the Banking division of Stanley Security Solutions. We look after the physical Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms, Intruder) of several high street banks.  We maintain, install and service a network of more than 6000 branches and major buidings nationwide.


    • Maintaining 3,500 sites for A High Street Bank with an annual maintenance spend of £2.8m, and an install spend of £7.8m in 2011. The team comprises Account Director and 6 Regional Account Managers. 
    • Maintaining 1,200 sites for A High Street Bank with an annual maintenance spend of £1.8m, and an install spend of £4.5m in 2011. The team comprises Account Director and 3 Regional Account Managers.
    • Managing and maintaining several other banks.  These customers generate £600k per annum in maintenance and £500k in install business.  I have considerably grown this figure by sales focus.
    • Succeeded in reversing some latent negativity, thereby stabilising relationships with the banks, and creating a strong platform for ensuring retention of on-going business.
    • Install business growth from £450k average for January to June to achieving £900k in September and £1m in October.

Stanley Security Solutions offer a one-stop-shop for all security products including CCTV, Access Control, Time & Attendance, Staff Protection, IP network solutions, Remote Monitoring, Fire Alarm, Paging and Public Address systems.  Part of Stanley Black & Decker group with annual turnover $13 billion.

    • Full profit & loss responsibility for the South with a turnover of £11m and Operating Margin of £3.5m per annum.  Grew the sales by 13% year on year in 2011 and achieved my operating margin target.
    • Responsible for a Sales team consisting of Field Sales Manager and 11 Regional Account Managers.
    • Set up a central London Sales team of 5 plus a Field Sales Manager. This team solely responsible for selling the monitoring services in our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
    • Responsible for an Operations team consisting of Operations Manager, Field Service Manager, 4 Project Managers, 3 Supervisors and 30 Engineers.
    • Responsible for a team of 3 Central Account Managers and Telesales staff.
    • Dealing with key accounts when senior involvement required to negotiate and close.
    • Instrumental in developing market strategies and their implementation.

Responsible for driving, management, motivation and development of a team of 10 Regional Account Managers selling CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarms, Public Address, Staff Protection, Paging and Time & Attendance in the North of England.  

    • Led and motivated a Regional Sales Team of 10 delivering over £4m per annum.
    • Developed business through end-users, consultants and key / national accounts.
    • Grew the business over two years from £3m to over £4m.
    • Improved overall margin from 45% to 50% through various initiatives.
    • Cultivated a brilliant team spirit and a desire for excellence.
    • Developed members of team effectively with one replacing me as Regional Sales Manager and one moving into a senior National Accounts role.
