As we wrap 2025, here are 6 end-of-year lessons I’d tattoo on every founder’s calendar (so 2026 feels very different):

1) The 3-Brain Pitch
Investors feel first, then justify.
Do this: open with a crisp “why now” + credibility, then bring the numbers.

2) The Five-Forces Audit
Fundability isn’t one thing. It’s a system.
Check: Dynamics, Narrative, Deal Architecture, Capital Planning.
Fix the weakest force first (usually process control).

3) The OPI Scoreboard (Offer Power Index)
Momentum is measurable.
Do this: track “yes/no” signals like: parallel meetings, weekly updates, references ready, counsel ready, close window defined.

4) Parallel Outperform Serial
One-by-one investor meetings = slow death by “let’s circle back.”
Do this: run investors in overlapping waves so time pressure is real.

5) The Weekly Update That Compounds
Updates aren’t “nice.” They create commitment.
Do this: one metric, one win, one milestone, one next step, one ask—every week.

6) IC Enablement (Sell Through the Partner)
Your job isn’t to “convince a partner.”
It’s to arm them to win the internal debate.
Do this: pre-answer the objections their IC will raise.

If you apply these, 2026 gets simpler:

➟ Faster cycles (weeks, not quarters)
➟ Cleaner terms because you’re choosing, not chasing
