And I can’t possibly tag everyone I’d want to tag, so please forgive me.

After reading about it on LinkedIn in 2023, being slightly overwhelmed attending my first one in 2024, it was time for me to feel fully relaxed, enjoy all the parties, all that.

Well no, because when you’re doing the closing keynote you need three things:

- A voice
- A great opening story (more on that below)

First of all, I am so glad so many people found it amusing (because it is), and second, as you all learned from the story, what is normal to you/us, may be confusing or scary to someone else.

Just like that chimp got confused by and scared of the urban environment that we are all used to, just like that story was mind-blowing to you and the most basic stuff for anyone who grew up in Yugoslavia at the time, just like the AI agents lose their mind when they deal with something as common as websites...

We’re all different and your “normal” is someone else’s “scary” or "confusing".

Whatever Ton spikes our drinks with so we are all so incredibly kind to each other for three full days, please try to do more of that the other 362 days of the year, and try to teach everyone you know how to do it.

Because if we don't do it, who will?

Just sharing a really cool photo of me delivering the closing keynote at Conversion Hotel 2025, pointing to the tombstone of still (as of November 2025) the most commonly installed A/B testing tool in the world, and on that tombstone the ID of the snippet for that tool that is currently installed on a Spotify website (open dot spotify dot com).

In other words: Let's fix the freaking websites and take out the trash because the best way to make the AI stumble is by giving it confusing and messy input to work with.

The "Great Correction" of marketing is around the corner.

For the last 10 years or more, we’ve been optimizing for the wrong things. We chased clicks, we tricked users with popups, and we let short-term metrics "corrupt" the way we build brands.

But the party is over. There is a new user on the web, AI Agents, and they have zero tolerance for our "hacks."

The funny thing about AI agents that most people who constantly talk about AI agents will almost never tell you about AI agents...

Is that most of the time when you're building a workflow or anything else you DO NOT need an AI agent.

The only time when you should add an AI agent to whatever you are building is when you know exactly why it will not work without an AI agent.

I think we finally have tech equivalent of S*x Panther from the Anchorman movie.

From OpenAI's Terms:

- Use of our Services may, in some situations, result in Output that does not accurately reflect real people, places, or facts
- You should not rely on Output from our Services as a sole source of truth or factual information, or as a substitute for professional advice
- You must evaluate Output for accuracy and appropriateness for your use case, including using human review as appropriate, before using or sharing Output from the Services
- Our Services may provide incomplete, incorrect, or offensive Output that does not represent OpenAI’s views

By far the most interesting takeaway is that YOU, the user, are breaking OpenAI's Terms if you share something they generate without evaluating it.
