After being an Operations Analyst for almost a year, I transitioned to be a Product Trainer. In this role, I hired and onboarded vendors to join our sales teams. LinkedIn: For anyone grappling with self-doubt on their #JobSearch journey, I'm here with a crucial message….

– Stop comparing yourself to others.
– Stop dwelling on past rejections.
– Stop second-guessing your decisions.
– Stop procrastinating; start sending those applications out again.

I vividly remember hesitating to do each of these things myself. 

I'd procrastinate, reduce my efforts, and even talk myself down with negative thoughts. 

I'd avoid social media or networking because it felt like everyone else was succeeding while I wasn't, making networking seem pointless.

All of this stemmed from self-doubt and an unwillingness to see frequent failure as simply part of the journey. 

And honestly, that's a perfectly normal feeling for most of us.

But I soon realized a profound truth: it's  never over for someone who doesn't give up on themselves. 

Someone out there is just waiting to give you that chance.

So, instead of seeing myself as an imposter, I started asking:
– If I get a "no," so what?
– If I get rejected, did I do my best?
– If I get no response, did I at least put myself out there?

Now, imagine getting a "yes"...
– You'll land an interview for a position you're genuinely interested in.
– You'll pass the first round of interviews and gain incredible confidence against all odds.
– You'll become a success story and an inspiration for someone else out there.

There's so much potential waiting when you just go for it! 

Move like everything is gonna work out, because it is.

Embrace that belief!

LinkedIn: They say don't judge a book by its cover….

Your current title is not your entire story.

I see so many people right now working jobs they dislike just to survive. 

They are paying for courses they can barely afford. 

They are studying late into the night after working an exhausting shift.

If you met them today, their position might not impress you. 

But their ambition should.

We need to stop waiting for people to be somebody before we treat them with respect.

If you are currently working toward a future that doesn't match your current job title, keep this in mind:
– Master your craft regardless of the title: Do the work because you want to be great, not just to get a promotion. Excellence attracts recognition eventually, but skill belongs to you forever.
– Stay consistent even without the applause: Show up every day. The work you do in the shadows when you have no fancy title is what builds the foundation for the career you want.
– Network with people, not profiles: This is the heart of the message on the window. Connect with people who inspire you, not just people who can hire you. 

That person you ignore because they have a survival job today might be the person hiring you five years from now.

Sometimes it looks far. 

But the consistent effort you put in everyday will pay off in due time.

I hired a social media assistant this past week.

She had zero experience since she just graduated, but I gave her a shot to see what she could do.

And during the interview, she nailed it.

She wrote example posts perfectly in my voice.

Hi, I'm Rachel! I'm an American expat living in France. My experience revolves around talent, workplace, and people. 

I'm currently a Talent Acquisition Specialist at North Star Network, where I get to combine my passion for sports, recruiting, and HR. My main duties revolve around recruiting, employer branding, and human resources management.

I had a short contract at Arcadia as an HR Recruiter where I learned a lot. I partnered with department heads to understand their talent needs, wrote job postings to attract top talent, and scheduled and led interviews. I worked with team members 1-on-1 and in small groups to enhance performance, and coordinated volunteers and donations for the company’s charitable programs.

At Alan I worked for the Talent team as a coordinator to maximize productivity, analyze data, and continuously improve the company by writing feedback and reports about recruitment and workplace diversity. I continued my event support here as well. 

I worked for Milestone Technologies @ Meta (previously Facebook) where I balanced several administrative and office roles. I created and managed the Resume Committee Group out of my passion for recruiting, and I managed front desk operations with a sprinkling of event support.
