As part of a research project, I completed my master’s thesis in collaboration with Thomas Plenborg from the Department of Accounting and Finance at Copenhagen Business School. The project was on artificial intelligence in accounting, using automated textual analysis (natural language processing) of US corporate filings to predict positive and negative earnings surprises. For data preparation and modeling, we applied Alteryx Design, Python, DataRobot as well as Excel.
