At Ninjas in Pyjamas, I am in charge of all daily operations, with an extended focus on commercialization and esports.

Yes, esports lives digitally in a way that no other sport is even close to, but the foundation is still the same as the rest. Humans coming together, sharing special moments of common interest, watching the best of the best push the limits of what's possible. Entertainment in its purest form.

I love this video from ESL, showcasing the view from the players on stage, where 15.000 people eagerly await the final of Team Vitality & FURIA. What a view.

Over the years, the best way to get people to understand the movement that is happening is to just bring them to an event to experience it all. Those first roars from the crowd of the stage entries and the first few exciting rounds or fights in a game are as self-explanatory as it gets. Every time, people go like "What?! This is amazing!" And I can only agree - yes, it is!

Why, hello there! 

Welcome to my profile page! My name is Ray, I'm a young entrepreneur with some big dreams to change the world.  When faced with any situation, I like to break it down and figure out a way to improve it.

My entrepreneurial journey began when I was 13 years old in 2017. After school, I loved playing video games with a bunch of my friends online. We formed an esports team and competed in various online competitions. 

We had a terrible time. The competitions simply did not give the experience many of us envisioned.

We decided to change that by starting our own events management company, Claxon Tournaments, to organise fair and enjoyable competitions for the community. 

We bootstrapped the company with what little pocket money we gathered, took the time after classes to get a glimpse of the corporate world, and slowly built up a network of partners to organise these events.

Surprisingly, we were met with resounding support. We attracted 800 members onto our Discord server in the first week we launched, and this has since grown to 50,000 at our peak. Since our founding, we have organised over 700 competitions across the globe, working closely with a curation of 20 key partners and clients to push forward these events. 

We met many setbacks, hardships and impossible situations. We took these in stride to grow and learn from them. 

Along this journey, I took many detours. 

I had the opportunity to work for several other companies, each with its own unique experience and focus. 

I have just graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Business Studies. I look forward to the next chapter of opportunities to learn, connect and grow.
