Amazon Music

As Senior Copywriter for Amazon Music’s live radio app Amp, I helped develop their brand voice using targeted UX copy and culturally relevant brand positioning to boost engagement among core Gen Z users. 

I leveraged my expertise in music, subgroups, and multigenerational and multicultural demographics to evolve the tone from generic to vibrantly vital. I also initiated bilingual landing pages to reach an overlooked market opportunity with Spanish-speaking audiences.

I also collaborated closely with Product and Design to optimize on-brand messaging with UX writing and flow to drive an exponential uptick in Android users during the app’s Android expansion.

Live Nation Entertainment

In the summer of 2022, I wrote social copy, live-streaming scripts, and performed interviews with artists and music industry professionals for Live Nation and their partners: Levi’s, Adobe, Insomniac, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Truly Hard Seltzer. 

The most significant challenges were adhering to multiple brand guidelines, brand and host voices, and production needs, all while maintaining the energy and flow needed to keep audiences returning weekly for the Twitch-streamed events. Did I succeed? You bet I did.

Pollen

Pollen is a London-based experiential travel brand catering to music lovers through unique, theme-based weekend events featuring celebrity artists and athletes, targeting specific genres and demographics. As an international company, Pollen wanted to better engage with their core American fanbase, so they asked me to provide culturally relevant messaging tailored to US music and travel fans. 

Through research, cross-cultural expertise, and experience in character-scripting for comedy and theater, I was able to craft hyper-targeted content to niche fan interests within Pollen's varying music genres. Additionally, I applied UX writing to optimize Pollen's website messaging and user flow to increase conversions and ticket sales.

During my time with Pollen, they acquired Campus Vacations, a party and travel company popular with college students, and consolidated it with their more upscale Just College brand. I was tasked with merging the brands into a new voice targeting college students. Through extensive research into the college travel industry and Gen Z preferences, I crafted copy that resonated with younger consumers. I also applied my UX writing and strategy expertise to improve the purchasing process alongside the Product and Design team and the marketing rep for Campus Vacations. My work in unifying the voice and improving the user experience led to increased sales and made Campus Vacations one of Pollen’s most profitable acquisitions.

By leveraging my strategic multicultural marketing and UX skills, I helped Pollen connect with previously untapped audiences and boost engagement and ticket sales among Gen Z and Millennial consumers.

Production Club

Maintained productivity and mental/physical well-being of staff during COVID through internal communications and copy and encouraged connection and joy among staff through bonding activities, emails, Slack groups, and presentations. Immersed new hires into company culture with creative, on-brand, and easy-to-navigate onboarding content.

My experience at Hollywood Records taught me the life and career-advancing skills to productively lead with positivity. was life and career changing. My directors, who have been in the industry for over 20 years, came in every day with an infectious smile and energy that immediately got people excited to work and feel lucky to be working there. They taught me how to communicate with different teams under the toughest of circumstances and how to share difficult news that left no one out of the loop. I also got to learn how to deliver copy and design for the unique needs of the music and radio industries, and copyedited landing pages and designed radio promos for their artists: Dreamers, Maddie Poppe, Joywave, AJR, In Real Life, Andy Grammer, Sabrina Carpenter, and Morgxn.
