When I joined the CFA Society of Indianapolis board back in 2018, I saw immense potential to transform our organization. My first goal was to increase membership and event attendance. By promoting a more outward-facing organization that educated the community on strong investing principles, we achieved remarkable growth. Membership increased by 30%, and average event attendance doubled.

Recognizing the need for more robust financial support, I shifted our focus to event-based sponsorships. This strategic move paid off, as we quadrupled our annual sponsorship revenue to over $120K. With this increased revenue, we expanded our team from a single executive director to a three-person team, significantly enhancing our member experiences.

Understanding the importance of digital presence, I launched and expanded the Society's LinkedIn page, growing our followers to 1,500 and fostering greater member engagement.

In my tenure as Treasurer, I identified inefficiencies in our financial reporting processes. Leading the transition from Excel-based reporting to QuickBooks, we streamlined our financial processes, eliminated manual data entry, and ensured accuracy.

To further strengthen our leadership, I expanded the board from 12 to 24 members, bringing in a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise. As the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Valeo Financial Advisors, I played a key role in driving the firm's growth and direction as a member of the Executive Committee. I led the creation of our first detailed budgeting process and a comprehensive 5-year financial model, developed standardized resource management for our five satellite markets, and acted as interim investment committee chair to institutionalize our investment process. Additionally, I spearheaded a tech stack overhaul strategic plan to streamline advisor experiences and ensure scalability. When I joined the Young Professionals of Central Indiana (YPCI) board, I saw a tremendous opportunity to increase our visibility within the community and better serve young professionals. As the first president to serve a consecutive two-year term, I focused on creating a more dynamic and impactful organization.

One of my key initiatives was to enhance our marketing efforts. We launched a LinkedIn page and invested in event video recaps, which significantly increased our social media presence. This not only boosted our visibility but also engaged more young professionals in our activities.

We broadened our event lineup to include more educational sessions and community service opportunities, ensuring that our members benefited from a well-rounded experience. By focusing on education and giving back, we created a more enriching environment for our members.

Leading a team of 22 dedicated board members, we successfully organized approximately 18 diverse events annually. Under my leadership, active paying membership grew from 100 to over 500 members. Additionally, we doubled our annual sponsorship dollars to over $30,000 and quadrupled our annual charitable donations to over $11,000 in just two years.

A key highlight of my tenure was transforming our annual golf outing into a charity-supported event. This shift turned a break-even event into one with significant charitable profits, raising $2,000 in the first year, $5,750 in the second year, and $6,250 in the third year.

As an Associate Portfolio Manager & Equity Analyst at Goelzer Investment Management, I managed multi-asset portfolios for 225 client accounts by evaluating tax impacts, trading securities, and designing investment allocations aligned with the firm's strategy and client goals. I improved portfolio management efficiency by implementing a new reporting/trade rebalancing system and building over 200 models, enabling PMs to manage 50% more clients and increase scalability.
