When I was younger I thought people in this industry just got lucky. 

Right place right time. 

Knew the right people.

Then I got into it and realized there is no shortcut. 

You answer the phone at 11pm. 

You learn how to read a room before anyone sits down in it. 

You figure out that the smallest details are the ones that actually matter and that nobody notices them until they're missing.

I used to think the job was about getting people into incredible events. 

It is. 

But the part nobody tells you is that this industry will take you to places, rooms, and conversations that your younger self would never believe. 

Not because you got lucky.

Because you showed up when it wasn't glamorous and you kept going.

I spent 8 years as an artist touring the world.

30+ countries. More green rooms than I can remember. Enough flights to permanently hate airport coffee.

Then I made the switch to premium hospitality.

No dramatic "aha moment." No existential crisis. I just woke up one day and thought, "Maybe I don't need to live out of a suitcase forever."

Turns out, I could stay in entertainment without being the one on stage. Wild concept, I know.

Here's what came with me from the road:

The people. I've met incredible humans in every corner of the world. Different cultures, different ways of experiencing entertainment and hospitality. That curiosity? Still my favorite part of the job.

The chaos. Live events are beautifully unpredictable. Things break. Plans change. You figure it out on the fly. If you can handle a tour, you can handle anything.

The hustle. I've always been solid at sales and working with clients. Turns out that doesn't go away when you stop being the product.

What actually surprised me about luxury hospitality? How complicated it is.

People think it's easy... book the thing, show up, have fun. But behind every flawless VIP experience is a ridiculous amount of coordination, problem-solving, and late-night texts. Most clients have no idea, and honestly, that's the point.

The lesson? Stick with the industry you love, but don't be scared to try a different lane.

Do I ever wonder what would've happened if I stayed on the road? Of course. But dwelling on "what ifs" is a waste of good energy.

I'm right where I need to be - helping people access the experiences they'll never forget.
