i actually snuck into his community to see if this was true.

it's not.

He gets more like 500,000
then does it for his students too.

he also says he's like 5'6"

he's not.

He's 6'3" and chiseled af

I honestly despise it when "LinkedIn gurus" lie about their results. Makes me sick.

Don't believe everything you see online.

Not sure why people online act like that's somehow a terrible thing to want.
 
Money is great. It gives you the security, choice and freedom to do so much cool shizz.
 
Imagine being able to run a little organic hobby farm growing veggies for your local community. that's some good shit.
 
Being able to fund scholarships for people who'd never get the chance otherwise. that's some good shit.
 
Being able to donate a mega tonne to the people pulling plastic out of our oceans. that's some good shit.
 
My ultimate goal has always been to retire every single one of my family members so they never stress about money in their golden years. I will do it one day. 

and it's gonna be some good shit.
 
You shouldn't hate the concept of making money just because there's a bunch of hustle bros in your feed who hoard theirs to compensate for whatever void they're trying to fill.
 
Stack as much as you can, secure your family, then figure out the coolest ways to give the rest away.
 
Ideally to animals, nature, or the arts. Not more crap from Instagram ads - most of those are scams anyway.

About 45 days ago I got some terrible news.

And I shut down everything because of it. 
 
Collin Strachan was doing a guest workshop within Video Heroes

He looked at my story and said:

"You're the guy who lived in a yurt, built a successful business on LinkedIn in a year... and burnt out."

Damn dude.

Honestly, no shade. He's totally right, but it still stung like shit. 

Last year, I was working 60+ hours acting like it's a flex. 

It's not. It's really not.

Unless you want to be a hustle bro or a grind set gal - then power to ya 

But for me, 2026 is about changing the equation of what's realy important before we die:

From: "How do we make the best videos?"

To: "How do we spend the most time with loved ones — using video as the conduit?"

being a grown-ass man playing on playgrounds
smashing pies in influencer's faces
promoting facial hair on a clean shaven platform

it's been amazing.
and hard.

last year our 2 person video business hit $221k in our first year

But I spent most of it in a haze of burnout.

This year, there will still be plenty of dumb sh*t

But the motto isn't "how much can I do?"

it's "what will I be proud of when I die?"

I'm travelling the world with no return ticket.
Working with 250 clients.
And spending time with loved-ones.

It's tough to say goodbye.
But honestly? This feels like a relief.

October 2025. I looked around my apartment.

Dirty dishes stacked in the sink. Piles of recycling I'd been meaning to take out for... honestly, I don't even know. Toenails I hadn't trimmed in weeks.

I was working 10-12 hour days.

Did you know in 1930, the economist John Maynard Keynes predicted we'd be working 15-hour weeks by now? Apparently technology would free us.

Instead...

In 2026, Silicon Valley is pushing 72-hour work weeks. The "996" schedule — 9am to 9pm, 6 days a week — is becoming standard at AI startups.

The irony is almost poetic.

The people building tools to "save us time" are working nearly five times what Keynes imagined we'd need.

And I'd argue the rest of us are on the same treadmill.

If you want to know the best benchmark for what's important to you, think about what you're going to be most proud of when you die. 

That's what I did. And I failed the test 😅

"more revenue" and "more followers" aren't the end goal 

For me it's sunshine. Freedom. Time with people I love.

So, maybe this is a long-winded post to say... 

January 26th, my wife (Jenna) and I are moving to Thailand.

Then Europe in the Summer.

And my 2026 goal is to work with 250 new coaches, consultants and agency owners to show them how video can get them time back with their kids.

I only care about one thing now — what the future of MY life looks like.

Maybe that's the only prediction any of us actually need.

I just flew to Thailand without a return ticket.
 
This time last year I couldn't take a weekend off.
 
I was deep in 10-12 hour days. Telling myself "this is what it takes."
 
I don't fully regret it. We built something I'm proud of. But somewhere along the way I started measuring the wrong things.
 
Hours worked instead of hours lived.
Followers gained instead of memories made.
Engagement instead of... being engaged with my life.
 
I was helping a client hit 120+ leads in 10 days last week. I'm SO stoked for him. 

But it forced me to ask myself some uncomfortable questions:
 
→ Do your kids love you? (Or will they?) 
→ Did you do something today that filled your cup? 
→ Are you building toward MORE time with loved ones?
 
We all know "the algorithm" is bullshit when you're dying.
 
Yet we're terrified of it anyway.
 
Jenna (my wife) and I decided we want to see the world before we start a family.
 
So we just... booked a one-way ticket. No return date.
 
This isn't me saying quit your job or burn it down.
 
It's me saying: the life you actually want? 
The one you keep pushing off?
 
You're allowed to want that.
 
You're allowed to build something you're proud of when it's over — not just something that performs well while you're alive.
 
If you're building a life that you'll be proud of when you die..

I see you. You ain't alone. Let's get this bread.

As a wannabe Dad, I'm always juggling 3 things:

You just have to cut unnecessary actions that keep you in that loop.

Jenna and I stole 45 days off LinkedIn to spend time with family and slow down. 

Potluck dinners where everyone contributed. 
Watching Batman the musical (hilarious, by the way). 
Board games until we lost track of time.
 
Most people would call that irresponsible. Taking 45 days off LinkedIn in the middle of building a business.
 
But when I looked back on 2025, I realised the points that stand out in my memory were the points that I WASN'T working.

birthdays
aniversaries
holidays
 
And I'll remember the Christmas we spent in the Alpine with her brothers and her mom. The potluck where everyone brought something. How Jenna's face looked when we finally chopped down that tree.
 
We're building video systems that get people off social media.
 
But not by grinding away the only years we'll have together like this.
 
By saying yes to the days that matter.
 
By taking 45 days to recalibrate when we needed it.
 
This is how we build legacy. Not someday. Not after we've "made it."
 
Right now. With the people who matter most.

Last week I woke up from this message from my client. 
She booked a sales call with her first post.
 
Massive changes this month. All good, but huge growth sometimes comes with pain.
 
Last year we hit $221K. Also burnt out working way too many hours.
 
So 2026 is about building systems that give us our lives back. 

We just landed in Thailand this week without a return ticket.

I'm trying not to think about it because it feels crazy.
But it's also the most excited I've been about life since I became an adult. 

This one thought always rings through my mind: 

"build a life you're proud of on your deathbed."
 
And I've realized it's not just about me anymore. If I can't help other people live their dream lives, I'm not doing my job.
 
Seeing clients spend time with their kids, land awesome gigs, be f*cking happy... well that's the point innit?
