When the body is in an imbalance due to malnutrition, lack of oxygen, the cells' reduced environment, lack of sleep, stress or lack of good bacteria, etc., it affects how your skin feels. The skin is nourished last and usually, has to take what the body cannot break down. 

There has never been as much research as now on the connection between bacteria and the skin and that the skin is an organ that interacts with the rest of the body. The book's author, Johanna Bjurstrom, has full knowledge of everything new and exciting! Happy Skin gives the reader knowledge about how the skin works as a whole with the body's other systems and how you can in a simple way, step by step, change your lifestyle and support the body from the inside out. In this way, you can improve various skin problems but also avoid them occurring.

My book is built on four parts and developed according to my philosophy on health and wellness. To live a lifestyle where you make food your medicine and where you build strong health from the ground. Regulate your health with my 10 keys.

The first part is about my 10 keys, where I go through the different elements we need to have balance within to feel good. You can also see what you personally need to regulate and improve your own health.

The second part is a ready-made meal plan I developed to easily bring more raw food into your everyday life. Raw food is very good if you want to help your body stay healthy and let the food be your medicine.

The third part is 20 recipes I have created to get as much nutrition and energy as possible. It's breakfast, snacks, dinner and desserts!

The fourth part is about my education, where you can study to become a Health and Lifestyle Coach. You may be dreaming of working with health and lifestyle changes, now you have the chance to become your own health hero.

Great that you found your way here! My name is Johanna, and I’m passionate about working with leadership and corporate culture.

I was born and raised in Åland, a place that embodies a culture of entrepreneurship.

I've always been interested in how people and businesses interact, so I pursued a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, followed by a master’s in psychology, and also a bachelor's in business administration.

At the age of 20, I already ran my own business—a horse farm and event company focused on mental health. In my business, I had many successful collaborations and led large groups of people (and horses) in my events.

In 2019, I transitioned to the marine insurance industry, working in loss prevention. As a Human Factor specialist, I conducted analyses and collaborated with shipping companies to build a culture based on safety, as well as the well-being and engagement of employees and crew members.

When leadership doesn’t focus on the human aspects, it not only poses a major safety risk but also becomes a significant bottleneck for business operations.

Determined to gain more tools for change, I enrolled in Uneståhl's international coaching program, a journey that marked a significant turning point. Lars-Eric Uneståhl, the father of Mental Training, was also behind many of the tools we learned during the certification course.

I continued my exploration and traveled to Thailand to deepen my understanding of a coaching practice that resonated with the profound wisdom of life coaching philosophy. However, the most important step in this journey was a decision I made to consciously work on myself and help others do the same.

When I returned home from Thailand in November 2023, I began building the program that would become Social Smart Leadership, designed to help managers enhance their social competence. I took the best insights from my academic studies in behavioral sciences, psychology, and business administration and combined them with the best tools from the coaching world.

I look forward to continuing this journey, where I can develop myself and help others grow toward more people-smart organizations.
