Also known as the "Energizer Bunny" (yes, that was the actual title on my business card!), I managed relationships and projects with our ad agency partners as well as developing new business opportunities throughout the US. I was responsible for some of our largest accounts and a large portion of our revenue in 2007/2008 (and was on track to do the same in 2009). I also lead my own team of developers to accomplish projects that met or exceeded client expectations.

One of my most fun projects was the launch of a learning platform and community for travel agents by one of the leading cruise lines. It included many custom features to incentivize learning as well as a forum feature to increase connection and time on platform. The cruise line updated the platform multiple times per year as new products, offers, and ships launched. 

StormFrog is a custom web development company that specializes in providing high-quality websites, flash applications, Internet and email marketing, and Intranet/Extranet applications within amazing turn-around times. We work primarily with ad agency partners to help them provide full-service marketing solutions and interactive programs to their clients.

Managed multiple corporate-wide IT projects in support of high-priority sales and marketing business objectives; managed all IT initiatives related to new product and service launches. Coordinated/spec'd software development projects including a new front-end order entry system. Subject matter expert on product catalog and how products work in various systems, from order entry to provisioning to billing to commissions.

Project Manager

Newly created position to support sales force with tools to enable new business development and improve sales productivity. Developed and managed commission plans for 350+ sales employees as well as 300 agents -- changes to plans improved sales productivity by over 20%. Improved sales forecasting process and implemented new sales tracking system.

Sales Operations Manager

Responsible for voice product line company-wide; ensured profit margins through effective pricing and packaging strategies promoting customer value. Developed major pricing strategy shift launched under the brand "Select Savings" -- responsible for all aspects of the ideation, development, and launch -- this new strategy resulted in a 20% revenue increase per line against a targeted lift of 10%. Managed all facets of special promotional projects and product roll-outs. Provided product training for sales force.

Started this position before the merger between GTE and Bell Atlantic (becoming Verizon) and was part of Wholesale Market's merger team. Responsible for product and market development for wholesale services to other carriers. Negotiated contracts for resale and unbundled network elements. Interfaced with customers on service and billing issues. Ensured compliance with regulatory mandates.

Product Manager, Wholesale Markets

Designed and launched customer education programs and events to provide sales opportunities and increase product/brand awareness for GTE's portfolio of products for the small business marketplace. Identified/developed events to include and benefit multiple GTE business units and spread the costs. Created and implemented 2 multi-city seminar programs for the small business market. Created business case model for adding new event programs to ensure cost recovery -- became standard for evaluating new opportunities and measuring results. Developed first comprehensive brochure for the corporation highlighting all products and services for the small business market place. Rolled out new consumer technology to marketplace via 23 event national awareness and lead-generation program as well as 12 internal events for employees.

Was awarded internal Discretionary Awards for all programs for the high-level of execution and success of each program.

Program Manager Small Business Customer Events

Responsible for marketing communication strategy for a $50MM division of GTE that marketed technical services including end-of-life support, PCB repair, test equipment maintenance and calibration, and engineering services. Created completely new image and brand identity that enabled transition from transactional base of customers to strategic programs. Wrote strategy and managed all phases of execution: media plans, trade shows, collateral, direct mail campaigns, and other sales support on limited budget. Managed external vendors. Worked with sales and other divisional product managers to identify joint opportunites.

Nominated for/participated in GTE's Marketing Management Development Program (invitation only course that included 5 weeks of training) to train the company’s future marketing leadership.

Worked for Electronic Repair Services organization. Utilizing relationship management and consultative selling, built targeted national account prospect from $0 to $1.2 M in first year, and secured a 2 year commitment. Achieved 166% of quota.

As half consultant/half mentor, I provide both the support to identify the best solution and the accountability to make it happen, along with the expert advice (based on decades of experience) you need.

As part of my "toolkit," I bring over 30 years of marketing experience, having spent time in almost every marketing role at some point: brand/product management, traditional marketing communications (old school style), event/trade show marketing, digital marketing, and even a little PR. I have managed marketing (and tech) projects with very small budgets up to $5M+. With a strong business management background and my MBA, I look at the business as a whole, not just from a marketing perspective. Sometimes the solution to a growth challenge is NOT another ad campaign or product launch; it could be a new distribution channel or even a people issue that is blocking the growth. However, if you are just looking for a "guru" in a particular tool (like FB ads), we are not a fit (but I can probably introduce you to someone; just ask, as I have a lot of great marketing specialists in my network). 

I am also a huge believer in the power of community, so I am open to new connections; however, unless we just met in real life, you will need to send a note on why you want to connect.
