I was hired as Senior Copywriter to write the website, manage content, and create industry news items with a humorous twist. Within two months, I was promoted to Communications Director and given responsibility for writing all of the company's marketing copy, including sales letters and our video for the Licensing trade show in NYC. 

Additional copywriting projects included new product development and naming. 

I trained, managed, and edited the work of a team of five that created promotional pages for our licensor members.

Over time, I also took over supervision of the production of our database intensive website that matched licensors to potential licensees, working closely with the software company Plural to shepherd the project to launch and plan the first set of revisions.

My assignments included writing:

Print ads appeared in every major newspaper in the United States, including USA Today; New York Times, Post, and Daily News; Los Angeles Time, Chicago Tribune, etc.

Direct response sales letters reached tens of thousands of people each week.  

Most copy was for licensed products, and all licensed copy was required to meet strict licensing guidelines.

With the emergence of the Internet as a sales channel, I was assigned to manage the company's ecommerce store. In this position I wrote and managed all content and supervised third party creation of a new website which resulted in an immediate 400% increase in sales.
