I’m the CEO of A Sales Growth Company (ASG) and the author of Gap Selling. Over the past decade, I’ve built a body of work that includes the Problem-Centric Operating System™ (PCOS), the Buyer Confidence Model, and the Problem Identification Chart (PIC) — frameworks that rewire how revenue organizations operate, forecast, and grow.

Recruited by President and Owner to work on Acquisitions, New Product Development, Sales Channel Expansions, Merchandising Displays, Marketing, Sales Training, and Development of a Flagship Store. 

Was actively involved with developing several new product collections, of which one achieved "best in class" industry status becoming the # 1 selling new product introduction release ever for Minka realizing $100 million + in life cycle sales. (BELCARO)

My development of a Flagship Store showcasing the Minka Group family of brands and sharing of "retail best practices" for its independent retail distributors under the name Illuminating Interiors in San Diego, Ca, was immediately nominated for and won prestigious ART Home Decor Industry Award for excellence in retailing. Flagship Store was in successful operation for 20 years modeling best practices in how a decorative lighting and home decor store should look, operate and be marketed to optimize sales, margins, referrals, profits. Was originally intended to serve as a franchise model similar to what ASHLEY executed with their extremely successful solo branded store effort.

Expo Design Center

Recruited by President to join a world class team of product merchants and others to execute National roll-out of new home remodeling design center retail concept originally planned for 200 locations. 

Provided inspiration and consulting to HD Expo's senior management and concept development team resulting in the opening of 50 locations generating in excess of one billion in revenue. Many elements of NEW EXPO model tested in Ft Lauderdale, FL, (store #5), were result of adopting elements of merchandising, marketing and sales initiatives I developed and managed w/ Farrey's Design Galleries, Miami, FL from 1991 through 1997.

EXPO DESIGN was led by Bryant Scott and Steve Smith who brought to market a much needed turn key solution for designing and managing luxury DIY home remodeling projects, particularly kitchens and bathrooms. 

While a few stores underperformed as a result of flawed real estate site location data, majority of locations were profitable yet new Home Depot CEO Bob Nardelli came on board and abandoned business. Private equity effort with executives was made to acquire EXPO DESIGN, yet Nardelli didn't want competition nor lose EXPO DESIGN talent which he assumed would transfer over to Home Depot. 

There were other contributors to EXPO Design Stores not performing to optimum degree, yet that’s for sharing within consulting practice for benefit of helping clients avoid same errors, EVOLVE & GROW.

Farrey's Lighting & Bath

Recruited as equity partner by owners to lead an effort to develop and execute new sales, marketing and merchandising strategies in support of need to reposition firm for long term growth and profitability. 

Throughout my tenure we increased revenues, margins and profits, and became recognized as a Decorative Lighting, Bath, Hardware and Home Decor showroom..."Like No Other In the World". 

Nominated and awarded numerous industry ART awards and served as inspiration to 100's of independent lighting showrooms to EVOLVE. 

Also inspired improvements in Home Depot's Expo Design Center and Sears Great Indoors store models. Both Sears and Home Depot actively recruited me.  

Growth initiatives of adding new product categories of home decor and implementing direct imports from European luxury suppliers and opening contract hospitality division, generated in excess of $100 Million in additional revenue since launch.

Sold 50% interest to Farreys upon signing on with them as equity partner and VP. We then grew LDSG into a $5m + division of Farreys managing hospitality and luxury residential projects throughout the World.

I could go on here about my skills, work experiences, successes, executive network, industry accolades, etc., yet many do that, so I’ll take a different approach as what sets me apart isn’t limited to what I know or have done, it’s about who I AM, what I care about and where I'm headed.

First of all, I’m blessed with three self reliant, kind, joyful, healthy adult children, and six delightful grandchildren whom I’m grateful to share quite a bit of time with to impart my values and Carpe Diem zest for LIFE.

I’m also a private pilot since age 18, sailor, motorcycle adventure rider, avid traveler, skier, scuba diver, hiker, aspiring writer, and passionate advocate for musicians and artists in producing community events.
