Using Matlab, R, and Julia to develop multivariate and single variate models and analysis (MVA/UVA) for tool fault detection. These models are then used to shut down tools used in the semiconductor manufacturing process, notify stake holders, and mark up lots for real-time detection analysis (RDA). Projects also include building complex yield models from tool data and automating alarm rule setup as well as fab wide tool fingerprinting to identify rogue behavior even if alarms are not present.

I am also very busy on the web app side building PHP/Mysql wrappers to give engineers access to big data solutions. Hoping to switch soon to python/django/postgres. Also using custom built SQL queuing system that I designed on the backend to manage user loading for job requests.

I watch the watchers, I direct the learners. 

I am passionate about machine learning. My life's mission is to further the boundaries of what is possible with data science. I spend as much time as I can working with deep learning, NLP, and all forms of data science. I currently have a passion project I am managing where I am combining the power of genetic programming with deep learning to automate network design. I think there is a trend happening in data science where human expertise and creativity are being replaced by powerful new methods (i.e. deep learning, big data). 

I am most well known for my machine learning work with the data science community and with HireVue. With the community, I enjoy posting opinions on jobs and tutorials on ML methods. I also enjoy speaking and presenting to all types of audiences. 

I've enjoyed working across engineering, product, sales, marketing, and customer success. This wider POV has helped shape the way I think about innovation, from the innovation farm to the customer's table ;)

Received the “Tell Dell Rockstar” award for leadership in the last three years and several internal recognition awards.

Focused the team on mitigating the natural internal tensions between products pitched to customers by using long-term customer benefit as the governing principle. This tenet allows the team to serve our internal customers in sales without compromising the value we deliver to the external customer when designing a solution. 

Consistently drove growth over the last six half-year fiscal periods. I facilitated the team in increasing the number of deals with more than one product category (Server, Storage, Protection)  which also increased the margin %. 

Built a framework of reusable enablement material authored by my team members that can be delivered in small bites via an online learning tool or combined into virtual or in-person workshops. These workshops cover a wide range of hardware, software, and architectures at introductory to expert levels. 

Facilitated the business operations process development for the global datacentric workload group. Working with my peers and leadership to determine requirements, I built a data model in PowerBI that would allow a new reporting style for Dell Technologies using customer application workloads as the focus. The model uses Salesforce, Teradata, SQL Server, and SmartSheets as data sources. The resulting dashboards enable leadership to see critical input metrics and associated outputs. They also deliver positional information to solution architects increasing clarity and reducing administrative friction, allowing them to spend an additional time in customer-focused activity.

Led for marketing operations, product management, and ecosystem alliances worldwide and lead the execution of Netlist's strategic product vision. Products consisted of legacy persistent memory modules and the development of a radical new way to create a persistent memory space for application acceleration. I completely rebuilt the company website, branding and messaging and played a key role in driving the stock price from low 30 cents to high $2.30's a strategic investment by Samsung Korea and the public demonstration of the prototype product

I led the technical marketing function at SanDisk for the Enterprise Storage Systems. Worked across business units such as the Emerging Storage Systems group and the Ecosystem management team and supply chain team. Designed, built and managed a series of application acceleration focused labs known as the Data Propulsion Labs. The DPL also provided secure technical testing and assessment function for SanDisk M&A activity.

With the completed merger of Fusion-io into SanDisk, my group had the responsibility to help optimize IO-Memory products interaction with enterprise applications and deliver more application acceleration to the customer than other competing flash based storage devices. This meant essential cross business unit work with engineering, finance, product management and marketing.  
The Applications Group consisted of three teams; The Data Propulsion Labs, The Applications Team and the Performance Team. At a high level my teams were responsible for helping Fusion-io products deliver superior application performance in real world use cases. The team would run application benchmarks, work with application vendor and operating system vendors to refine application and flash interaction.

As part of a company re-org and the expansion of the Data Propulsion Labs and Applications team function, these teams were moved into the Product Group. The group's function remained the same but had expanded to support additional internal customers.

Post IPO the CEO & CMO I was asked to relocate to the US to start a technical marketing group at corporate HQ in Salt Lake City as part of wider company re organization. The group consists of two teams; applications architects that specialize in certain workload and how IO-Memory can be best used by them and the lab crew that enables this and other work to take place.

Fusion-io co-founder and CMO Rick White reorganized the global marketing team pairing Trip Hunter with myself to set up EMEA marketing for Fusion-io. Trip was a proven marketing professional from the agency side in New York. Over the next 18 months Trip and I worked closely together, myself learning how to deliver world class marketing in return Trip increasing his understanding around storage and application space. Together we worked across over 20 events and outreach programs earning a number of trade awards and an acclaimed write up in Fast Company. This aided record sales growth in EMEA prior to IPO.
