I watch the watchers, I direct the learners. 

I am passionate about machine learning. My life's mission is to further the boundaries of what is possible with data science. I spend as much time as I can working with deep learning, NLP, and all forms of data science. I currently have a passion project I am managing where I am combining the power of genetic programming with deep learning to automate network design. I think there is a trend happening in data science where human expertise and creativity are being replaced by powerful new methods (i.e. deep learning, big data). 

I am most well known for my machine learning work with the data science community and with HireVue. With the community, I enjoy posting opinions on jobs and tutorials on ML methods. I also enjoy speaking and presenting to all types of audiences. 

I've enjoyed working across engineering, product, sales, marketing, and customer success. This wider POV has helped shape the way I think about innovation, from the innovation farm to the customer's table ;)

- Machine learning and geospatial data analytics task lead for a team developing algorithms to provide insights on geotagged data.
- Developed pipeline to process and analyze behavioral and physio data. Leveraged MATLAB to developed data processing pipelines for the MASTR-E program which allowed data to be (batch) processed and analyzed, and produced reports that show performance of individuals partaking in field and lab studies.
- Mentored student co-ops/interns and cadets in MASTR-E  by generating short-term sprints and providing oversight and review in algorithm development.
- Led machine learning pipeline development for prediction utilizing both Python and MATLAB. This entailed pipeline cycle development consisting of researching and developing metrics, machine learning problem formulation, result/progress presentations.

Senior Machine Intelligence Scientist/Engineer: Machine Intelligence

- Generated a space GNC technology roadmap by investigating gaps in space GNC technologies, performing interviews, and developing a plan of solutions to fill the technological gaps.
- Collaborated with DARPA to help accelerate Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) innovations by applying rigorous analysis to identify capability gaps, helping shape portfolio development, and identifying the current state-of-the-art technologies and needed developments to address the capability gaps.
- Developed state-space and frequency-based analysis tools in MATLAB to analyze stability of Dynetics Human Lander System as part of the NASA Artemis program, which showed effect of slosh stability influence when utilizing differential throttle over thrust vectoring control.
- Developed filtering algorithms in C++ and post-processing scripts in python for vision-based Skymark (celestial) systems (GPS denied inertial navigation systems), which achieved sub-100m accuracy on water-based vessels.
- Conceptualized and spearheaded the development of a prototype nonlinear control algorithm in C for autonomous Joint Precision Airdrop Systems (JPADS).
- Developed MATLAB scripts to analyzed control algorithms and stability of JPADS systems and investigate instabilities in the system.
- Developed python-based post processing tools for machine learning algorithms developed as part of JPADS S&T.
- Undertook development of detailed algorithm description documents while meeting project deadlines.
- Proposed system improvements, future directions, and presented status updates and recommendations to customers such as NASA, Dynetics, and US Army.
- Orchestrated seminar series where interesting topics on current projects and software were discussed.

- Led research related to autonomy via reinforcement learning, specifically using data-based learning methods for control such as online adaptive dynamic programming/approximate optimal control and concurrent learning.

- Published technical results in high standing journals such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Automatica.
