I watch the watchers, I direct the learners. 

I am passionate about machine learning. My life's mission is to further the boundaries of what is possible with data science. I spend as much time as I can working with deep learning, NLP, and all forms of data science. I currently have a passion project I am managing where I am combining the power of genetic programming with deep learning to automate network design. I think there is a trend happening in data science where human expertise and creativity are being replaced by powerful new methods (i.e. deep learning, big data). 

I am most well known for my machine learning work with the data science community and with HireVue. With the community, I enjoy posting opinions on jobs and tutorials on ML methods. I also enjoy speaking and presenting to all types of audiences. 

I've enjoyed working across engineering, product, sales, marketing, and customer success. This wider POV has helped shape the way I think about innovation, from the innovation farm to the customer's table ;)

First data analysis adventure was in 2010, successfully estimating the location of a lost senior lady.

My best attribute is adaptability- constant learner, flexible to change and friendly towards reprioritization. I am highly analytical, love detail as well as the big picture.

I became a Google (Maps) Local Guide to get as many establishments reviewed for their wheelchair and dog friendliness and accessibility.

I make killer hummus and pasta. 

I have been to Oktoberfest München 3 times. The first was unplanned- I went to visit a friend in September, only to find out while I was there, that Oktoberfest starts in September! The second time I didn't drink any beer! The third visit was planned for 2020 and almost booked in February that year... there was no Oktoberfest. 

I have been to Wall Street twice, the first just before 9/11. The second, a decade later, while ground zero was being rebuilt. 

I am a data skeptic (critical thinking)

I like being at the house. I like outdoor adventures, dogs, and outdoor adventures with dogs.

I might be late to the party, but I stay when others leave early, and I usually enjoy it the most. I also help clean up  after.

I scored 720/800 in a GMAT equivalent standardized test, which opened the door for me to be accepted into a Physical Therapy program in spite of low grades in high school.
