Positioned Avaya’s cloud communications and workstream collaboration services. The company's platform includes unified communications and contact center services. In 2019, the company provided services to 220,000 customer locations in 190 countries. Directed outbound marketing for Avaya OneCloud™ Subscription and the developer-facing marketing channel. Piloted go-to-market execution, buyer personas, solution messaging and positioning, thought leadership, and sales enablement. Created global go-to-market and enablement plans for specific solutions, including new APIs and applications. Hosted a Hackathon for 250+ developers at Avaya ENGAGE, resulting in significant partner and client engagement. While at Avaya, founded the Abilities Employee Resource Group (for Differently Abled).

Product Marketing Manager (App Exchange, APIs, Cloud Tech)

Developed end-to-end content strategy for major worldwide customer product and solutions campaigns for IBM Systems. Developed content for IBM Z and LinuxONE’s shifts to a hybrid cloud narrative, emphasizing security, cloud-native development, AI and blockchain services. Worked cross-functionally for the IBM z15 and LinuxONE global launch with product management, campaigns, performance marketing and analyst relations to support competitive messaging on security, data privacy and encryption. Audited content, researched trends, and collaborated on the execution of promotional assets. Led campaigns in social media, public relations, event marketing, web, and user interface, contributing to 65% of IBM marketing-sourced revenue. In 2019 through 2020, founded and served as the captain of the IBM Hops for Hope team, raising money for Children’s Flight of Hope (non-profit for children).

Senior Global Content Marketing Strategist (Hybrid Cloud Server Solutions and Storage)

Managed individual investor retirement plan services and participant marketing using integrated marketing tactics. Developed a participant-facing marketing channel to do outreach to within the client base for increasing retirement plan contributions. Co-founded and served as Managing Editor for VESTED magazine (www.captrust.com/vested) for wealth management prospects and clients, a biannual magazine including a Second Act cover story, plus columns that explore passion pursuits, investment trends, ways to leave a legacy, and more. Co-founded and produced the VESTED Voices client marketing video series, featuring famous Second Acts. Was able to interview NFL players, famous entrepreneurs, and other inspirational people. Authored thought leadership pieces and produced participant-facing video series. Met goal to acquire 20 net new wealth management clients, each with millions in assets under management (AUM). In 2017, served as (volunteer) President of the CAPTRUST Community Foundation (CCF), while also serving as Manager of Marketing. As CCF president, led 25 board members, 5 committees, started a grant program with 3 levels of grants issued, and started an annual fundraising event. The flagship fundraising event, the Bond Brothers 5k, was cofounded with Bond Brothers Beer Company and raises tens of thousands of dollars each year for the CCF. In 2016, served as Vice President for the CCF and created a flagship fundraising event, Hops for Hope, that brings in $500,000 a year to benefit Children's Flight of Hope, to help children with life-altering and terminal illnesses get transportive access to care.

Created and implemented integrated marketing strategies using research and analytics to drive customer insights using direct mail, email marketing, collateral, websites, and thought leadership. Ran 401(k) marketing channel, a sales division responsible for 75% of revenue for the company. Based on success with 401(k) marketing channel, developed a financial advisor referral channel. In addition, developed an educational marketing program for the Paychex Healthcare Reform response, that resulted in 150% revenue generation improvement.

Led process improvement efforts with client-facing business units to digitize procedures and product pages, as well as consulted on ways to eliminate waste within processes (Kaizen model). Successfully improved more than 20 business units’ processes to manage operational change management strategies and programs.

Met with statisticians within the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) dissect, understand, and pull out important trends within the Census of Agriculture published by the USDA. TWrote press releases about findings from the Census of Agriculture, issued by the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), which I worked for under the Director of Public Affairs. Worked with statisticians to pull key information out, so that I could develop important insights in written format. Participated in journalist lock-ins, briefings, and important announcements. The work done had the ability to influence futures, stock prices on commodities, and agricultural and livestock industries as a whole.

Monroe County Long Term Care Program

Compiled and synthesized research for medicare study on persons with disabilities, in order to build anonymized case studies about patient experiences within the study. Reviewed thousands of cases and built out profiles for senior leadership. The study focused on the use of innovative nurse models of care management designed to improve the quality of life and health outcomes of older persons experiencing multiple chronic conditions (MCC), depression, and disability. This research was related to the Medicare Primary and Consumer-Directed Care Medicare Demonstration (MCPC), an randomized control (RCT) trial conducted across 3 states, providing comprehensive care management to community-dwelling older Medicare beneficiaries (n=1600) who had an existing disability and prior use of healthcare (e.g. hospitalizations). Outcome evaluation of the study favorable health outcomes among participants (e.g., less disability worsening) as well as a reduction in healthcare cost and use. Notably, this trial was one of only 6 studies to achieve less disability among these older persons who were experiencing high levels of health complexity.
