Direct supply chain strategy and operational execution, including strategic souring initiatives, inbound logistics routing, warehousing strategy, supplier relationship management activities, S&OP process, inventory accuracy efforts, and material compliance.  I lead a team of six supply chain professionals out of our Lake Orion, MI office, including Supply Chain Strategists and Inventory Control Supervisors.

During my tenure, our diverse supplier spend has more than doubled, greater than 5% category savings achieved in multiple services and commodities through strategic sourcing events, and free cash flow improvements have been accomplished through targeted negotiations on over $10M in spend.

Our team is also proud to have increased our inventory quality ratio by over 15% in the past three years, succeeded in improving our inventory accuracy YoY, implemented metrics that align with business objectives such as cost savings and cost avoidance, and planned for and carried out supplier relationship management activities including continuous improvement programs, quarterly business reviews, and 360 degree feedback.

Developed and implemented supply chain risk mitigation strategies, including the creation of a contract manufacturer safety stock program in 2013 and prototype procurement process in 2012.

Led consignment inventory reduction efforts at global contract manufacturer sites in 2012, reducing total inventory levels by more than 5%.

Guided supplier relationship management duties for printed circuit board vendors.  Duties included quarterly business review preparation, vendor scorecard ownership, and identification of continuous improvement opportunities.

Operated as a supply chain lead for a key strategic customer value stream team.  Managed raw materials as well as finished goods consignment inventory in excess of $1.5M monthly for a key JVS customer, drafted weekly production schedules, executed the purchasing cycle, logistics planning, as well as supplier relationship management.

Core member of JVS' ERP system implementation team, giving me vast knowledge of the planning functionality available in enterprise-wide systems.

Created an inventory management process that tracked key performance indicators such as raw material inventory dollars, safety stock levels, finished goods inventory dollars, stockout frequency, and on-time-delivery performance.

Managed supply chain functions in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Planned for, drafted, and executed a logistics plan that utilized economies of scale on ocean freight, desired customer service levels, and an inventory investment level reflective of ideal cash flow.

Intern in the Global Procurement Department at Marathon's Texas City refinery.  

Implemented, tracked, and analyzed reverse auctions,  took part in buyer/supplier negotiations, manged on-site contractor compliance, reviewed purchasing requisitions, and supplier relationship management.

Presented summer internship work to corporate procurement staff in Findlay, OH.  Also assisted in analyzing suppliers' ability to perform necessary tasks during the refinery turnaround (TAR) of 2010.

Managed reverse auction for cylinder gases.  Total bid was in excess of over $500K.  Presented and tracked bid through Ariba.  Led supplier conference regarding the auction and analyzed all bids.

Evaluated supplier pricing schedules for rental equipment to be used during refinery turnaround (TAR) of 2010. 

Led efforts to increase on-site vendor compliance in terms of OSHA and contract administration.

Interned in the Marketing, Events, & Promotions Department at Flagstar Bank Corporate Headquarters in Troy, Michigan.  

Assisted in the logistics of coordinating and gathering materials for various events Flagstar sponsored (festivals, runs/walks, charity auctions, etc.).  Worked with internal employees as well as outside vendors to determine the level of success of the sponsorships.

My goal is to create the most sustainably fulfilling life I can live.  What does that mean?  Live and work in a way that creates a big impact on others without sacrificing unnecessary resources.

We all face life and work constraints.  Time, budgets, family obligations, and health all intersect at the corner of career and family life.  How we face these constraints and continue to improve and move forward largely defines our sense of fulfillment.

We all want to spend our work and home time making the largest impact we can.  I wish to offer relatable lessons on how we can all achieve this.  And I sincerely hope it helps all of us achieve sustainably fulfilling lives.

In my 9-5 I am a supply chain and account management professional for the incredible sustainable packaging company, Scout Sourcing.  WBE certified, we offer cost-effective sustainable packaging solutions for many of the largest brands and retailers in North America.
