I gained a promotion into this role on the basis of my previous project management experience and my work at RLA for The Trade Parts Specialists (part of Volkswagen Group UK). Particularly for my part in the successful delivery of two secure bespoke online applications. One being a data management and analyis tool which is has improved efficiency for their business and saved hundreds of hours of manual spreadsheet work and the other being a re-launch of an existing incentive platform which has improved user engagement through the design of a more intuitive user experience.

Although currently working on exciting projects in partnership with Volvo and on existing work with The Trade Parts Specialists and other local clients, I'm also looking forward to working on a number of other upcoming projects we'll be delivering at RLA this year.

My Senior Account Manager role at RLA was dedicated to the day to day management and delivery of a highly successful below the line national trade marketing programme for the B2B automotive parts operation of Volkswagen Group UK.

Beginning life at RLA as a Marketing Co-ordintor for the same client, I demonstrated ability to add value and a hunger to deliver and, in recognition of this, was promoted to both Account Manager and then Senior Account Manager in my time on the account.

I led this digital specialist team in the agency, an extension of the m2m media business teams, working on several global and local clients including Luxottica (Sunglass Hut), Brother, Holland America Cruises, Suntory (Frucor Beverages) and Beiersdorf (NIVEA), providing clients with a holistic and integrated communications solution. This included digitally activating NIVEA's 2016 sponsorship of The Voice Australia. 

At m2m, I was responsible for overseeing and developing our best practice social media and content product across paid, owned and earned media, for building strong client relationships and ensuring we deliver best in class client service and for growing digital revenue for the business via existing clients and new business.

I worked within the strategy team as the digital, content and social media specialist and was the digital strategic lead across the Lion beer portfolio (16 local & international brands incl. XXXX Gold, Hahn Super Dry, Budweiser & Stella Artois). I was responsible for overseeing and driving best practice strategic planning, implementation and measurement across paid, owned and earned channels that was aligned and integrated into the wider communications plan. 

I worked closely with the Bohemia leadership and business teams to develop our offering and identify new opportunities for revenue growth with both existing and new clients.  This included being part of the new business team, where I regularly worked on pitches and presented to potential new clients.

Strategy Director

I relocated to Sydney to create and head up the national digital content and social media division (PHD Word) for PHD Australia.  Here, I was responsible for creating, planning, managing and measuring social strategies across the PHD Australia client base and integrating this with all other media activity.  I built a team from scratch and developed a broad offering across social platform management, digital content strategy and production, social listening/digital analytics and partnerships (including influencer campaign management).  I worked closely with business directors and senior management to develop this division, achieving profitable revenue growth for PHD Word in its first year. 

Clients included Air New Zealand, The Guardian, Domino's, PepsiCo, Google, Elizabeth Arden, Hewlett Packard, ANZ and Infiniti Cars (Nissan).

As part of the social media team at PHD, I was responsible for creating, implementing, managing and measuring social media campaigns for several high profile clients.  These campaigns included community management, blogger outreach and guidelines and consultancy.  

I gained strong knowledge across the key social media platforms and how clients can maximise these channels.  I developed a good understanding of social analytics and make strategic recommendations based on the data.  I worked closely with all media teams to deliver an integrated approach to media communications.  

Named as Media Agency of the Year 2011 by both Campaign and Marketing magazines, PHD UK is a media and communications agency that has been built on a culture of thought leadership, creativity and innovation.

This includes writing press materials, media relations, managing and updating the company website/blog and all social media platforms.  I was also responsible for event management, our advertising campaign and entering – and winning – industry awards.

I worked closely with our account management, design, build and technical teams and online marketing departments to deliver the agency comms.

I worked at Redweb for 18 months as a PR & Marketing Executive and was responsible for external comms for the agency.  I was responsible for writing press materials, media relations and building national, local and trade media contacts.  Also - event management, updating the company website and blog, and managing all social media platforms, briefing in and managing work through the studio and entering and winning industry awards.

I received training in Online PR & Social Media as well as regular seminars in digital media to continue my professional development.

I took a gap year in 2008 to work and travel in Australia.  My temporary roles included Marketing Assistant, Corporate Receptionist and Administration support, in both Sydney and Perth. 

Responsibilities with these roles included assisting with event organisation, writing marketing materials, dealing with enquiries in person and over the telephone, general administration, data entry and providing creative support in team meetings. 

I acquired the following skills: ability to adapt to new working environments very quickly and learning new procedures to effectively complete each task; using initiative and quick thinking to complete my work as efficiently as possible; gaining confidence in working with new colleagues on a regular basis; strong international business experience.

I worked at Pegasus for two and a half years, managing integrated PR/marketing campaigns for several large corporate brands in the sports, lifestyle and health sector.  My responsibilities here included media relations, acting as a day-to-to contact for both clients and journalists, writing press materials and website copy to suit different target audiences, managing endorsements and sponsorships and involvement in new business.  I also managed two account executives in the team, building and updating databases and working within set budgets.
