• $4.5MM of licensing fees savings obtained through initiatives between IT groups.
• Led simplification of AP accrual process ($90MM) and managed unfinished and finished asset reporting ($325MM) to provide early identification of risks, opportunities and execution of corrective actions.

Aggregated, validated, analyzed and reported global sourcing spend data totaling $7.4B (FY 2013) with 44,000 suppliers from 12 key countries in - General Goods and Services, Operations Good and Services, RD & Medical and Marketing & Sales.
• Generated Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and dashboard reports used for category strategy, management of key suppliers and price optimization.
• $2M of rebates obtained from suppliers through enhanced analytics of vendor consolidations.  
• Collaborated with IT to streamline the global data collection process by monitoring opportunities for innovation and flexibility.

Automated account reconciliations by creating standardized templates.  Completed financial close process within deadlines, achieving "Balance Sheet” integrity and satisfying external reporting in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
• Implemented an Account Assessment template to evaluate nature, complexity and type of reconciliation for balance sheet accounts, enabling consistency in accounts reconciled and facilitating data review. 
• Partnered with Corporate Accounting, HR, Benefits and Payroll to resolve out-of-balance items ~ $500K, identified opportunities to ensure such items do not recur and made recommendations to improve controls and reporting to management.  
• Trained reconcilers in Accenture (Pitney Bowes outsourced offshore vendor) to streamline the reconciliation and documentation process for employee benefits, restructuring and other accruals, saving ~ $500K from headcount reductions.

Senior Financial Planner

Shared Services Organization - Financial Analysis group
Assisted the GM of the newly created Shared Service Organization with $35M expense budget in all financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and actual reporting.
• Collaborated with departmental leaders of the Shared Service Organization (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, Collections, Recovery, Sales Tax Compliance, General Accounting, Commissions and Payroll) to develop organization budgets and forecasts compared to prior periods and budget.
• Secured budget savings of 5% or more (~$2 M) through headcount and administration expense reductions.
• Interfaced with CEO and CFO during annual budget presentations (2005-2008) for approval of budgets.

Corporate Accounting & Reporting
Involved in internal, external and governmental reporting.
• Prepared and documented SEC filings – 10K, 10Q and 8K and filed electronically through Edgar system.
• Compiled government reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Department of Commerce reporting. 
• Created financial statements, prepared variance analysis and generated Ad Hoc reports for senior management.

Corporate Staff Operations Group 
Performed financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and actual reporting of Corporate Staff Operations cost centers with an annual expense budget of ~ $250M.
• Prepared and presented annual operating budgets for Corporate Operations - Marketing, HR, CTO and R&D.
• Prepared monthly variance analysis and narrative for financial results versus budget, forecast and prior year.
• Secured budget savings of 3% or more (~$3 M) through headcount and administration expense reductions.
• Implemented and enhanced Hyperion reporting system for Corporate Staff Operations group from McCormick & Dodge System (M&D) system. Trained and supervised 4 staff in the use of Hyperion system for financial reporting.  Received a spot bonus for successful system implementation.

Executed risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan and assisted with other audit matters and projects.

The implementation of RPA significantly reduced manual, human error and time-consuming tasks from half a day to mere minutes ultimately resulting in better analysis. Served as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for RPA use.
