I found myself in a coffee shop today talking to Claude Code like a real lunatic haha.

Felt both extremely crazy, and extremely innovative.

THE skill to learn in 2026 to really take your value in PPC to the next level: learning how to use Claude Code.

For me, there was a time before Claude Code, and a time after Claude Code.

Life hasn't been the same ever since I started using it.

Try it out. There's a bit of a learning curve to get started but O M G is it worth the time.

Per-hour pricing for PPC work makes no sense in the Age of AI.

You would actually punish yourself for working faster with AI tools and Agents.

Much better: fixed or flexible retainers.

The sweet spot: find a pricing model that benefits both you and your client, and one that allows you to grow your fee when performance improves beyond a certain level.

That's how the incentives are aligned.

Your client wins, you win.

How much you make should not be tied to how much you work — it should be tied to the results you deliver.

I’m curious: what do you like to do to wind down after a long week of hard PPC work?

It's so surreal to look back at what we've done and how we're bringing people together with The PPC Hub.

Over the last 3 years we've organized 10+ meetups in the Netherlands, Australia, Cape Town, Copenhagen.

It's so awesome to see the real friendships that are being made.

When people go to conferences, they look for each other. It's just so surreal lol.

And members fly in from all over the world to join our events.

Next up: Brisbane 🇦🇺 on March 30th (let me know if you wanna join).

After that, we're getting ready for a private barbecue at Bob's place in May. The first edition, two years ago, was legendary. Can't wait to see everyone again.

We're living in crazy times right now with wars around the world and AI disrupting everything.

The solution is real human connection.

And although our meetups don't solve worldwide problems, it is extremely rewarding to bring like-minded people together.

Can't wait for the next editions!

I'm addicted to Claude Code. Yeah I said it.

A few months ago, Bob had just started to really work deeply with Claude Code.

He sent me a message around 2:00 in the morning. It went something like this:

“Yo dude, can’t sleep. Too hyped about what I can do with Claude Code.”

I laughed but didn’t fully understand it because I hadn’t used Claude Code myself yet. But because he was so hyped I decided to check it out as well.

Now, looking back and after using Claude Code for a while, I think he had what I call “the Claude Code Rush”.

It’s a weird mixed feeling of excitement and overwhelm. After the AI Agent Challenge in The PPC Hub, I've literally heard a few people they felt the exact same way.

Excitement because your eyes have been opened about the immense possibilities. You feel powerful.

And overwhelmed because you know ANYTHING is possible but you can’t do EVERYTHING at once.

A few weeks ago, I also found myself wide awake in the middle of the night thinking about what to build next.

All of a sudden I’m thinking about APIs and MD files lol. It’s weird but awesome.

Anyways… There’s no real clue here. Just wanted to share. I thought it was funny that we both laid in bed wide awake staring at the ceiling, lost in thought about what we could build next with Claude Code xD.

Maybe some of you can relate. And if you ever lay in bed wide awake thinking about AI Agents… Know that it’s “the Claude Code Rush” and it’s completely normal.

Some will call you obsessed… But your obsession is a feature, not a bug.

Thanks to our obsession we were able to build PPC Mastery OS for The PPC Hub — and I’m pretty happy with that! :)

Anyone experience this before or am I making stuff up now? haha

Hot take: I don't believe in the "AI will take your job" narrative.

I think it's lazy fearmongering. And it's not helpful.

I talk to specialists every day. The most common worry I hear: "Will I still have a future in PPC because of AI?"

Here's what I believe:

There's a golden opportunity in front of us.

AI Agents can now execute 80% of your repetitive Google Ads work.

Quality Score audits, RSA testing, search term analysis, competitor research, bid strategy reviews, target recommendations, account restructuring, and everything in between.

Tasks that used to take hours, can now be done in minutes.

That's not a threat. That's leverage!

When you can deliver the same quality work in a fraction of the time, everything changes:

→ You can take on more clients
→ You can go deeper on existing accounts
→ You can raise your rates as you deliver results faster
→ Or you can simply work less without sacrificing income

In my eyes, that's the biggest opportunity of our generation.

And right now, most specialists are still on the sidelines, waiting or using regular AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

Which means the ones who act now will take all the opportunities.

That's the power of AI Agents.

AI won't replace you. AI amplifies you.

In 18-24 months, the majority of specialists will be using AI Agents.

It'll be as normal as using the Google Ads Editor.

By then, it won't be an advantage. It'll be the standard.

But right now?

There's a golden window of opportunity — and it's wide open.

Early adopters will build their systems, get more done and drive better results in less time, and be miles ahead by the time everyone else catches up.

So stop worrying about AI taking your job.

Instead, reframe it and start thinking about how you'll use AI to take all the opportunities.

Most people think using AI Agents is about automating everything.

But I think of it differently.

The real power of AI Agents isn’t automation for the sake of automation.

It’s depth.

Without AI, time is always the constraint (especially if you work for multiple clients).

You WANT to dig deeper into an account but you only have 4 hours per week for a client…

You WANT to help your client optimize her landing page but how do you find the time when you also have to do RSAs, QS, bids & budgets and everything else inside Google Ads…

You WANT to help your clients optimize unit economics but you simply have no time…

You do what you can with the limited hours you have. And as a result, you only scratch the surface of what’s possible for a client. 

AI Agents change everything because time stops being a limiting factor.

With AI Agents, you can go 10x deeper on the things that actually impact results.

The goal is not doing less work.
The goal is doing better work.

And that’s where AI Agents shine: they help you work faster AND better.

When I first saw the Cursor AI x Claude Code interface, I panicked a little.

It looks like you're coding (see screenshot):

Terminal windows. Command lines. Code-like text.

Stuff that feels like it's for developers, not Google Ads Specialists.

I thought: "This isn't for me, I'll stick with using ChatGPT and Claude"

But then Alfred Simon and Bob Meijer gave me a demo that changed everything.

They showed me agents can do so much more than regular AI tools — and the output is almost always of much higher quality.

I now realize you don't need to be technical to use AI Agents.

You're not writing code. You're giving commands.

And those commands are based on the Standard Operating Procedures, Reference Docs, and AI-ready skills that you build for your agents.

We had a fantastic guest workshop from the legend Brad Geddes in The PPC Hub this week on ad testing!

I haven't finished it yet because it's really busy with the finishing touches for our AI Agent Challenge that starts next week...

But just from the first 10 mins I can see this was a workshop full of golden nuggets.
