Providing Building Blocks to Solopreneurs

I have always loved building SYSTEMS.

At 24 y/o, I built a small video game for fun.

In my late twenties / early thirties, I was a software developer in IT companies. I got the opportunity to be in a team that was building a BIG product for EDF (French Electricity Company) to manage electrical power plants. The cool part of that project was that I got to grow on many dimensions of software development: databases, server installations, object oriented programming and more.

From my early thirties, I moved into leadership roles but I would still create Excel products for myself to increase my productivity.

In 2021, I built my first web application using Bubble. I was expecting to release it as a SAAS to market but I decided not to. The product was good, myself and another user were using the system on a daily basis, but I didn’t believe it would work as a SAAS so I dropped the idea.

End 2022/ beginning 2023, I built my first website with Bubble.

On 13th of February 2023, I launched my Solopreneur business part time next to my full time corporate job and released my first online course.

On 11th of October 2024, I released Togenda, a new way to manage tasks with Notion.

I raise the level of my SYSTEMS constantly, it's an endless improvement loop.

My mental model is: "I am 0.1% stronger&wiser today than I was yesterday".

CAD Training and Support was my own company.  We specialised in providing project management, consulting, training and support services for a range of computing programs, but specialising in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.  Clients were located throughout Australia and overseas.

Responsibilities and Achievements:
- Project managed the specification, design, testing and successful implementation of custom-written CAD application programs
- Successfully introduced EPLAN electrical CAD software to Australia
- Contract IT and CAD Manager for startup surveying practice
- Contract IT Manager and Tutor Manager for local community college
- Trained client staff in the correct and efficient use of their CAD systems
- Customised client computer systems to increase performance and efficiency
- Designed Microsoft Access databases to client specifications
- Provided CAD drafting, modelling and customising services

With comprehensive DriveWorks certifications, including Xpress, Solo, and Professional levels (CDWX, CDWS, and CDWP), Bill is the sole expert throughout Australia and New Zealand with such extensive DriveWorks proficiency.  Additionally, he holds the esteemed titles of Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP) and Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert (CSWE), further cementing his expertise.

Not content with merely mastering his craft, Bill is also a certified trainer, possessing the TAE40116, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.  His passion for imparting knowledge and empowering others is evident in his dedication to delivering effective training courses.

Beyond the professional realm, Bill embraces diverse interests.  He has a purple belt in karate, although he finds it difficult to actively participate these days due to other commitments.  One day, he says!  He finds solace in the great outdoors, indulging in bushwalking adventures and immersing himself in nature.  A keen woodworker, he takes pleasure in crafting pieces that range from purely utilitarian to beautifully aesthetic.  And when he seeks respite from his endeavours, you'll often find him engrossed in a captivating book.

Ever the lifelong learner, Bill is currently undertaking the exciting endeavour of learning French.  With a curious mind and a zest for personal growth, he embodies the spirit of exploration and continuous development.
