I’m Jean-Vincent Quilichini, a product-driven engineer who enjoys turning complex systems - data, backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, and AI into production software that performs, scales, and stays understandable.

I build end-to-end products where Big Data meets applied AI: high-volume ingestion pipelines, search and analytics, LLM-powered enrichment, and clean user experiences on top. My work focuses on solving messy, real-world problems (latency, cost, observability, and maintainability) so teams can ship confidently and iterate without fear.

Strong engineering fundamentals : from React and Next.js frontends to NestJS, Fastify, and Express backends, I design systems with clear boundaries (DDD, CQRS when it makes sense) and APIs that stay boring in production.

Data at the core : PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis (structured, unstructured, search, real-time signals). I build pipelines, analytics, and relevance layers that turn raw data into decisions.

Applied AI, not hype : LLMs and generative AI are tools, not the product. I integrate them where they add leverage (automation, enrichment, summarization) while keeping evaluation, guardrails, and observability front and center.

Performance and UX matter : from shaving milliseconds on APIs to crafting fast, accessible interfaces with Tailwind, shadcn/ui, or Material UI, I aim to make complex systems feel simple. When needed, I’ll reach for WebAssembly or Three.js to push the browser further.

Production discipline : CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS), Linux environments, monitoring, QA, and cost awareness are part of the job. I like releases that are uneventful.

I’m motivated by elegant solutions to hard problems and systems that are powerful and resilient.
Curious by default, pragmatic by choice, I build software that holds up long after the demo.

Started with a bug fix relating to tweet-NaCl issues on the web and NodeJs
Added the socket.io features and typescript to connectome

My work here includes researching mostly p2p projects and all things technology and knowledge sharing

Previously, we were only able to install static site apps on dmt but after my RnD on how to install server-side rendering  apps on dmt, we were finally able to pull it through thanks to svelte kit and node-proxy

Open Source Software Engineer

Coinhaven 

Currently leading the mono-repo refactoring process of our frontend with turbo repo,
which is always up-to-date with the latest svelte-kit for now. Structured so that multiple apps can be developed and built independently and still share auth and components. 

I Joined the company as a normal dev and within 6 months I was given maintainer roles on our GitLab. Creating tasks on Jira mainly for the refactoring and assigning them to myself and other team members.

I worked on our live chat module used in our p2p trading by peers for trading and admin and clients to resolve appeals.

I designed and worked on our Easy convert product which is yet to be launched but deployed on our staging.

Also, I implemented our API setup and authentication. Added many utils for my team including those related to datetime, integrated the notifications API, resolved pipeline issues and much more stuff.

Frontend Developer

I am an Economics graduate coding all day. 
A self-taught full-stack developer adept in both backend and frontend(web and now slowly mobile and desktop). Started playing with code in 2016 and I used to code just for fun. I didn’t study computer science in college, but most of my time is spent on coding. I have colleagues from computer science-related fields who come to me for help even on their final projects. 

I enjoy working on challenging tasks and serious bugs even though they can be a little scary at first sometimes, but nothing beats the happiness of resolving a difficult task.

I am excellent at testing and debugging processes and care deeply about security. Always eager to learn about amazing projects and new emerging technologies, especially peer-to-peer. I love open source. Lately, developing a passion for quantum computing.

Even though I love coding, I want to understand how economies work. I wish to contribute immensely to the growth and development of my country, continent and the world at large. I do believe contributing the problem-solving capability of computing and the knowledge of economics, one can do and achieve great things. This is the reason I studied Economics and self-taught myself coding.
