Eight years ago, I left the startup world to build something of my own. I didn’t believe I was creative, so I started writing a newsletter just to prove myself wrong.

Fast forward to today, and that newsletter has become Creator Science, a multi-million dollar business and one of the most trusted voices in the creator economy.

Being a self taught journalist going on 7 years, Omar  has covered stories that matters most in local and television news. 

Whether it is about the economy, healthcare (which can tie into the economy). education, and even entertainment, Omar have done it.

Omar interviewed celebrities and got to know that part of the world as well, over the years. 

Being an independent journalist, Omar positioned myself translating his multi faceted positioning into his work.

That way, there are zero stories Omar cannot cover. However, if that arises, research and facts are key!

Omar was able to grew an audience of 36,000+ subscribers using organic marketing SEO tactics!

Though I have no aspirations in being a sports reporter, I did it to put myself in the newsroom again.

I already graduated college and without college it is competitive to work in a newsroom. 

Tribune Media, now NexStar, highlights Friday Night Sports. 

I recorded the highlights at a baseball game, edited the package on Final Cut Pro 7, and assisted the photographer the best way I can to get the job done. 

Doing this, I was able to get trust and shadow a reporter multiple times.

WDSU NewsChannel 6

While interning at WDSU, I learned ENPS, software used across various media organizations to formulate a show. 

I got to work with various reporters, making calls to cultivate contacts, researching, interviewing subjects, etc. 

I also aided in newscast writing, worked the assignment desk, and assisted in any kind of way as a team player.

Intern

Get Up Radio

Get Up Radio was a digital media website and also an online radio station. As a very young media 

personality at the time, I got to interview various people, do a solo show, or host a show with other 

cohosts. Here I learned how to reach out to people for interviews, outlining shows, hone my blogging 

skills, and used social media to get our news out there. The website was for traditional and 

entertainment news.

Internet Radio Show Host

Jordan Omar is a self taught multimedia journalist talent that was able to rise to ranks of running his own company for 7 years.

The company itself brought international, national, and local stories to the table, tackling important issues: politics, healthcare, economy, and even light hearted topics like entertainment.

Omar was able to get noticed by various media personalities and outlets (The Grio, News Break, to name a few) on the national level and conjure relationships. 

A journalist of his own self right through conquering exclusives, getting answers, and a seeker of truth through his aggressive but professional questioning, Omar would be an asset to any newsroom, talk show, or media gig. 

Omar has the potential to be compared to the greats of Journalism.
