July 2017, the heart of India's startup ecosystem and there I was, fresh-faced and eager to dive into the world of innovative minds.

So, what was I up to? Imagine chatting with over 100 startup founders from all over India. 

Yep, you read that right! 

I was the guy asking the questions, digging into their stories and, oh boy, it was like having a front-row seat to the coolest entrepreneurial show in town.

But wait, it wasn't about the chit-chat. 

I was juggling a bunch of hats – editing videos until they were just perfect, penning down blogs that felt like stories rather than articles, and playing around with YouTube and LinkedIn to get our content out there. 

It was all about striking the right chords with our audience, you know?

In a nutshell, my time at High On Startup was like being in the driver’s seat of a supercharged content machine. 

From hosting interviews to hitting 'publish' on social media, it was a roller-coaster two months where I learned a ton and probably drank way too much coffee!

Fast forward to today, and those experiences are like little gems in my pocket, constantly reminding me how cool and unpredictable the world of startups is. And hey, who knows where the next adventure lies?

So, that's my story! From interviewing founders to spinning content magic – it's been one heck of a ride.

Back in 2017, I jumped into the marketing world with an internship at Denziti Media. 

2 months in Gurgaon and I was all about social media, content and building community. 

It was like playing in a digital sandbox, except this one was all about strategy and creativity.

My days were jam-packed with content creation. But this wasn’t any content. 

It was the kind that gets people talking, the kind that gets people excited about a brand. 

We were building a community from scratch and I was right in the thick of it.

There my role went way beyond the typical intern chores. 

I was part of the creative storm, brainstorming ideas and helping craft campaigns that resonated with our audience. 

It was all about making that emotional connection through social media – turning followers into a close-knit community.

Creating content was more than just a task, it was about weaving stories that people could relate to, stories that made them stop scrolling and start engaging. 

From analyzing market trends to getting hands-on with event management, every day was a new lesson in how to make social media work for you.

What I loved most? This wasn’t your sit-back-and-watch kind of internship. 

I was right there, in the mix, tossing ideas around and watching them come to life. 

It was a crash course in the art of digital marketing – understanding how content and community go hand-in-hand.

Looking back, those 2 months at Denziti Media were more than an internship. 

They were the foundation of my understanding of the digital world. 

Lessons in content creation, community engagement and the sheer power of social media have stayed with me ever since.

Hi, I’m Jatin, a community builder by profession and a content guy from the heart.

Ever since my childhood (literally, like when I was 12 years old), I started a debate club. Back then, I got 8 students from my class and a total of 14 students from other sections together to debate on motions like - THBT ozone layer depletion is a man-made disaster in the making. Trust me, those days this is all we used to talk about.

However, I fell in love with content and community building later when I started, Kuch Bhi Reviews - a YouTube channel. I, along with 2 of my friends, was successful in growing it to 3K+ community members that lead to 200K+ views in a year’s time on the YouTube channel. 

It was great learning that helped me understand the power of doing things together! 

Along with this, I kept participating in debate competitions across the country and got a chance to meet phenomenal speakers. It is when I enjoyed the most being a part of a community. 

In 2016, I decided to do my first internship. Where I got a chance to meet 100+ startup founders PAN India, I interviewed them for a digital marketing agency, Denziti Media under their project, High on Startup.

After such a crazy internship, I was pushed to take up a job but I hadn’t quite figured it out then. So, I joined an internship program in leadership hiring an executive recruitment firm, Crescendo Global Services to understand the recruiter mindset and market demand. Thankfully, I was able to get the answers I was looking for from this internship. 

Finally, I explored the community piece properly with CoHo, one of the 1st coliving brands of India. The journey with them was insightfully ecstatic. I curated over 250+ experiences in less than a year. Met so many people in these events and got to know countless beautiful stories.

I moved to Housr with an intent to build MEGA communities and have been exceedingly happy since then. Housr is India’s 1st MEGA coliving brand that means there are over 500 members living together in one establishment. Now, that’s what I’m talking about!

My true strength lies in my ability to celebrate the victory of another. Trust me when I tell you this, I wasn’t born with it. I had to learn it. If you’d like to know what I’m talking about then a cup of coffee is what I’d like to get with you.

I build personal brands for CEOs, VCs & founders

I learned the biggest lesson from an Uber driver at 1:30pm.

I was on my way to TechSparks that afternoon, sitting in the backseat of an Uber, mentally rehearsing what I wanted to say on stage. I must’ve looked a little tense because the driver quietly reached into his door pocket, pulled out a Bisleri bottle and handed it to me without saying a word. 

A few minutes later, we got stuck at a long red light. A woman walked up to the car asking for money. I didn’t have the energy to deal with anything, so I looked away and pretended to be busy on my phone. The driver didn’t do that. He rolled down the window and gave her a purple 50-50 biscuit packet he had in the car.

I thought that was it... but then an older woman came at the next red light.

Before I could even think what he would do, he reached into the dashboard, pulled out a packet of JimJam and gave it to her.

By the time we reached my venue, the bill was ₹1100.

I paid him ₹1,250.

As someone who grew up in India, tipping is not my default setting... but that afternoon, it didn’t even feel like “tipping.” It felt like the natural response to someone whose behaviour made an impression on me.

And this is exactly the point I want to make. 
People keep asking how to build a personal brand.
Most think it starts with content. Or a strategy. Or better hooks.

But sitting in that Uber, watching this man repeat the same small acts of kindness with three different people and expecting nothing back, goes to say: 

Your personal brand is not built on LinkedIn.
It’s built in your default behaviour.

Not the PR trained version you show when the camera is on.
The one that comes out when you’re tired or distracted.
The one you repeat without thinking strategy.

Because reputation is a direct result of those tiny patterns you don’t even realise people are noticing.

The only reason people will trust you (online or offline) is because your behaviour matches your words, every single time.

The best investor in the world, Warren Buffett, didn’t take an online course on value investing.

The best body transformation story in India, Ankit Baiyanpuria, didn’t take a ₹50,000 fitness program.

The best language learners in the world, immigrants, didn’t take Duolingo’s 365-day streak challenge.

The best coders, the ones who built early Google, Facebook, PayPal, didn’t take a 40-hour “Full Stack Bootcamp”.

The best filmmakers, Nolan, Rajkumar Hirani, Tarantino, didn’t take a Masterclass subscription.

The best salespeople, actual closers in the field, didn’t take a ₹4999 “High-ticket sales” course.

The best editors in India right now, half of YouTube, didn’t learn from a structured curriculum.

If you genuinely want to learn something, you will.

With or without FITTR.
With or without Duolingo.
With or without Coursera.
With or without Teachable.
With or without a guru shouting “10x” into your face.

People think the course will replace the effort.
It never does. It never has. It never will.

When the desire is real, you don’t wait for the “right course”.
You just start... and that’s why the ones who succeed,
would have succeeded anyway.

It felt wrong today.

I don’t know how else to say this.

I reached IGI around 6:30am, stepped outside, and the first breath I took was cold and dusty and honestly a little painful. 

A friend was driving to pick me up. She called on the way, didn’t even bother with a “hello.” She coughed into the phone - that rough Delhi winter cough you hear everywhere but pretend isn’t a problem.

I asked if she was fine.

She sounded irritated in that “don’t ask me stupid questions” way and said, “My eyes are burning. I can’t even see the road properly.”

I told her she shouldn’t have come, I could’ve taken an uber.

She laughed, not because it was funny, but because sometimes you laugh when you’re trying not to think about how bad things actually are.

We reached her flat and she told me what her manager said, “come to office unless it gets worse.”

Bro… what is “worse”?

Chest tightening after two breaths?
Coughing until blood comes out?
Or collapsing at the damn gate?
 
I don’t know how to explain this but it actually makes me angry - how normal everyone is about it.

We wake up with dusty, bitter taste in our mouth, our throats burn the moment we step outside... and still… still… companies act like breathing is optional.

Maybe I sound angry, I probably am, but this is ridiculous. People are hurting and acting like they aren’t because companies know the air is toxic and still say, “see you at 9am.”

It’s insane we’re even talking about this like it’s a minor inconvenience.

Nobody should risk their health to prove something at work.

We need to treat air pollution like we treated Covid.

Anyway… we are remote and we are hiring.

I read a longevity post today that said:

“I’m not sharing this as a CEO, but as a fellow human…”

Followed by a “gravity causes aging” hypothesis, big science quotes and a beautifully designed PDF.

Interesting idea... but this is a pattern I’ve seen before (and founders know this):

When a company publishes a theory this polished, it's not sharing curiosity, they’re preparing a category.

You don’t spend 2 years “trying to disprove” a hypothesis, bring in Harvard & Salk quotes, design a 24-page studio-grade deck, and brand it under a company... unless there’s a product on the way.

It’s classic Silicon Valley playbook.

Create the belief → Create the category → Create the product.

But the part that bothered me is simple:

We haven’t fundamentally changed how humans age.
We’ve only stopped them from dying early.

People live longer today because of:

☑ vaccines
☑ sanitation
☑ antibiotics
☑ fewer deaths in childhood + childbirth

Not because we slowed aging.

The real levers of health-span (the years you live well) have not changed at all.

They still come from things no one can monetise:

☑ home-cooked food over app-delivered meals
☑ stress that is not outsourced to caffeine
☑ sleep that does not need a tracker
☑ sunlight, walking, lifting things
☑ less “biohacking gadgets”
☑ more “basic routines”

There’s no device, angle table, or micro-gravity simulation that replaces dal-chawal and discipline.

Founders will always build new markets - that’s the game, but as consumers, we should separate good storytelling, from good science, and excitement from evidence.

35 days off LinkedIn taught me what 10 years on it never did.

4 years of nonstop presence and suddenly, silence felt necessary.

Last week, I met Vineeta Singh

Before I could “crack” LinkedIn; LinkedIn cracked me.

There was a phase when I:

Watched others go viral
Posted consistently
Showed up daily

And still felt invisible!

Low reach.
Zero leads.
Plenty of self-doubt.

That’s the part nobody glamourises.

People now see the growth. They see collaborations, community, consistency, and credibility.

What they didn’t see:

The nights I rewrote the same post 5 times.

The days I wanted to quit but still posted.

The experimentation that failed publicly.

The learning that cost time, money, and ego.

My LinkedIn growth didn’t come from “hacks”. It came from clarity + courage + compounding.

CLARITY to know:
💡 Who I serve.
💡 What I stand for.
💡 What I will never dilute.

COURAGE to:
Post even when it feels uncomfortable. Say no when growth demands alignment.

Today, LinkedIn gives me:
💙 Trust before discovery
💙 Conversations before conversions
💙Community before clients
And that changed everything.

If you’re in the “silent growth” phase right now-
🛑Don’t STOP. 

Your numbers may be quiet, but your foundation is getting loud. And one day, the platform will echo back what you kept showing up with.

Consistency always COLLECTS.

B2B teams don’t need more metrics. They need better meaning behind the ones they track.

A small moment I loved: when I walked up to say hi, we vibed instantly, and she opened LinkedIn on the spot so we could connect.

Such a genuine, grounded gesture from someone leading growth at scale.

P.S. What’s one metric you think B2B teams should stop obsessing over?

The best career advice I ever got didn't come from a podcast, a book, or a search engine.

It came from a 30-minute conversation with someone who had already walked the path I wanted to take.

When I was pivoting industries, I had all the usual fears - Am I too late? 

Will I be starting from scratch? What if I fail?

So I did something simple: I reached out to 5-7 people on LinkedIn who were already doing what I wanted to do. Not everyone replied. But the ones who did? They changed everything.

Here's what I've learned about networking on LinkedIn:

❌ It's not about collecting connections. 
✅ It's about building real relationships with people who've been where you want to go.

❌ Don't wait until you "need" something. 
✅ Start conversations early. 
✅ Ask thoughtful questions. 
✅ Offer value when you can. 
The best networks are built before you need them.

Be specific in your outreach. Instead of "Can I pick your brain?" try "I saw you transitioned from X to Y - I'm curious how you approached that change. Would you be open to a quick chat to help me do the same for my career?"

Follow up and stay connected. A single conversation can change your career, but ongoing relationships compound over time. Give back when you can. Once you've made progress, be that person for someone else. The best networks work both ways.

Even today, when I'm stuck on a business challenge or exploring a new direction, I lean on my network. I ask questions. I learn from people who've already solved the problem I'm facing.

Because the truth is - real-life solutions don't always come from search engines. Sometimes they live in conversations with people who've been there.

Professionals say their network is still their #1 source for advice at work, ahead of family and friends, search engines, and even AI tools

“Take LinkedIn Premium if you want to grow faster.” That’s the advice everywhere.

And I get why people believe it.
When you want growth, you look for shortcuts.

More reach.
More visibility.
More messages.

But here’s the truth most people avoid:

Premium doesn’t create growth.
It only amplifies what already exists.

And this is where most people go wrong:

They buy tools before they build skill.

Then when results don’t come,
they blame the platform.

I’ve built multiple accounts.
Generated consistent leads.
And crossed 100K+ followers…

WITHOUT using Premium at the start.

Before any upgrade, here’s the real growth plan that actually works:

→ Write content that builds trust before asking for attention
→ Add comments that move real conversations
→ Build connections aligned with where you’re going, not where you’re stuck

These DON’T need a subscription.

Because here’s the uncomfortable truth:

If your content isn’t connecting…
If your comments aren’t starting conversations…
If your network isn’t intentional…

No tool can SAVE that.

And the cost of ignoring this isn’t just money.

It’s:
🚨 Burnout
🚨 Lost confidence
🚨 The silent belief that “LinkedIn doesn’t work for me”

Real success looks different:

You show up with clarity. You earn trust through consistency.

Your name starts carrying weight. And conversations turn into opportunities.

So before you buy Premium, ask yourself one honest question:

Do I need better tools…
or do I need to show up better first?

Because tools amplify effort.
They never replace it.

P.S. I do use LinkedIn Premium today… but only after the foundation was already built.

The myth is all around that if you have LinkedIn premium, then only your LinkedIn growth becomes predictable, and you can grow on Link, but the fact is that you can grow without LinkedIn premium, but first you need to nail down three important things. The 3C of LinkedIn growth number one content, you must share content on LinkedIn and for that you don’t need LinkedIn premium. Shraddha is a LinkedIn growth coach and she has built her following from 0 to 140 K is a great example, because I had zero, I mean I had no premium of LinkedIn then second C is if you have LinkedIn premium, you can you know double down that process, but at least when you are starting, you should not have LinkedIn premium of think a lot in this picture.
