Hi, I’m Jatin, a community builder by profession and a content guy from the heart.

Ever since my childhood (literally, like when I was 12 years old), I started a debate club. Back then, I got 8 students from my class and a total of 14 students from other sections together to debate on motions like - THBT ozone layer depletion is a man-made disaster in the making. Trust me, those days this is all we used to talk about.

However, I fell in love with content and community building later when I started, Kuch Bhi Reviews - a YouTube channel. I, along with 2 of my friends, was successful in growing it to 3K+ community members that lead to 200K+ views in a year’s time on the YouTube channel. 

It was great learning that helped me understand the power of doing things together! 

Along with this, I kept participating in debate competitions across the country and got a chance to meet phenomenal speakers. It is when I enjoyed the most being a part of a community. 

In 2016, I decided to do my first internship. Where I got a chance to meet 100+ startup founders PAN India, I interviewed them for a digital marketing agency, Denziti Media under their project, High on Startup.

After such a crazy internship, I was pushed to take up a job but I hadn’t quite figured it out then. So, I joined an internship program in leadership hiring an executive recruitment firm, Crescendo Global Services to understand the recruiter mindset and market demand. Thankfully, I was able to get the answers I was looking for from this internship. 

Finally, I explored the community piece properly with CoHo, one of the 1st coliving brands of India. The journey with them was insightfully ecstatic. I curated over 250+ experiences in less than a year. Met so many people in these events and got to know countless beautiful stories.

I moved to Housr with an intent to build MEGA communities and have been exceedingly happy since then. Housr is India’s 1st MEGA coliving brand that means there are over 500 members living together in one establishment. Now, that’s what I’m talking about!

My true strength lies in my ability to celebrate the victory of another. Trust me when I tell you this, I wasn’t born with it. I had to learn it. If you’d like to know what I’m talking about then a cup of coffee is what I’d like to get with you.

5 days ago, an Indian founder raised ₹90 lakh from one post.

On 24th Dec, Chanakya tweeted asking people to fund his startup.

The aftermath shocked both Ritu and Chanakya (not me).

The replies started coming in.

“repeat customer, interested!”
“would love to look at the roadmap.”
“we are doing 10L per person per startup. 6 of us.”

On Mar 11 at 11:11am, he confirmed they had raised ₹1.90 crore.

₹1 crore from angel network + ₹90 lakh from people on X.

This founder was not Nithin Kamath or Deepinder Goyal or someone with Shark Tank India fame.

Many use it to decorate confusion.

The gap between "what actually happens" and "how it gets told" can be quite funny.

LinkedIn versus Reality (leave edition)

The first time I wore pyjamas on stage, I told myself I was breaking “suit culture.”

For decades, Indian business dressed like authority with suits, polished shoes, ties that meant “I belong here” because power lived in institutions: banks, boardrooms, family offices, government jobs. 

If you wanted credibility, you dressed like it.

Then startup money shifted the centre of gravity, suddenly hoodies meant ownership and slippers meant equity. Dressing down meant, “I don’t need approval” and everyone clapped like it was evolution - but both are uniforms.

The suit says, “Respect me.”
The slippers say, “I don’t need your respect.”

Both are signals.
Both are strategy.

In psychology we call it "enclothed cognition" i.e. what you wear changes how you think and behave. 

I’ve felt it. 

When I wear a suit, I sit straighter. I choose my words more carefully. I scan the room for hierarchy. When I wear pyjamas, I lean back. I take space. I speak faster. I assume I belong.

Clothes don’t create confidence.
They amplify the power structure you think you’re inside.

The most insecure founders I’ve met overdress.
The second most insecure ones overdress-down.

Both are trying to control perception.

When I wear pyjamas on stage, it’s signalling too. 
It’s me saying, “I’m above the performance.”
Which is still… performance.

The day I won’t care about what I’m wearing on stage… is the day I won’t need to use it to command the room.

I’m working on it.

In rooms like this, we don’t discuss vanity metrics. We discuss positioning, leverage and long-term narrative control.

Because authority is no longer optional.

It’s a leadership necessity.

A girl in India is told:


Study well. Build a career.
Become independent.

But after MARRIAGE, the rules of the game quietly change.

(Not writing this as a rant or a complaint.)

I’m writing this from LIVED experiences and observations of the reality that still EXISTS around us.

Women’s Day is celebrated once a year.
Adjustment is expected from women 365 days a year.

If women are truly empowered in everyday life…
why does their stress level remain significantly higher than men?

The most dangerous thing about Women’s Day is this:

It sometimes makes us believe women are celebrated.

When in reality, many are still silently adjusting every single day.

A report by the Lancet Commission on Mental Health highlights that women experience higher levels of depression and stress due to social expectations, role overload, and limited autonomy in decision-making.

Now LEAVE the report aside for a moment.

Just go ask your mother.
Ask your sister.

Ask any woman in your family one honest question:

“If you had the chance to design your life from the beginning… would you live it exactly the same way?”

Many women may never say it out loud.
But their silence will answer you.

Because in many parts of India, especially smaller cities and towns, the expectations are still very clear.

Study well.
Get married.
Adjust.
Run the house.
Cook.
Manage relationships.

And if you are working, manage BOTH worlds or leave the JOB and manage HOME.

This is often called DUTY.

But rarely do we ask if it was ever chosen.

And the uncomfortable truth is that sometimes the pressure doesn’t only come from MEN.

It also comes from generations of women who were taught that sacrifice is the only definition of being a “good woman”.

So the same expectations quietly pass from one generation to the next.

I say this NOT JUST as an observer.
I say this as someone who has LIVED through these expectations.

In 2022, I was invited on stage and honoured with a Women’s Day award.

And while standing there, I said “Please don’t just celebrate women today.
Try to UNDERSTAND them EVERY day."

Because celebration without understanding changes nothing.

Many families are evolving.
Many men today are supportive partners.

But in many homes across India, especially in smaller cities, women are still expected to carry responsibilities that were never equally shared.

And that’s why one day of celebration often feels incomplete to me.

Maybe Women’s Day shouldn’t only be about appreciation... but REALISATION.

P.S. I spoke about struggles inside the home. But outside isn’t very different. You see the news every day, women fear stepping out alone at night, avoid travelling alone, and constantly choose the safest option available. Safety is talked about a lot… but rarely truly created. And then a message pops up: “Happy Women’s Day.”

“I want to support you, but…”

That sentence is often a trap.

Because real support doesn’t always require money.

If someone truly wants to support you, they will find a way.

They can share your work.
Recommend you to someone.
Leave a thoughtful comment.
Talk about you in a room you’re not in.

Support is rarely about resources.
It’s mostly about intention.

When the intention is real,
people figure out a way to show up.

And when it isn’t,
the sentence usually starts with —

“I want to support you, but…”



“What should I post on LinkedIn?”
“What will people think about me?”

These are the 2 biggest questions that stop people from posting on social media.

Let me tell you something honestly.

People are not thinking about you as much as you think they are.

They might see your post.
They might pause for a second.
Maybe even react.

And then?

They move on with their day.

So if you are sitting there overthinking “What will they think?”-  you are worrying about something that barely exists.

The real question is not:
“What will people think?”

The real question is:
“Who am I creating content for?”

If you are trying to impress everyone, your strategy will always feel confusing.

But if you know your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile), everything becomes simpler.

You write for them.
You solve their problems.
You speak their language.

Not for random people scrolling your feed.

Because if you're building a brand for business, your focus should be your audience, not your observers.

And here is another truth most people realize only later:

When you start posting, some people will notice.

But when you stay consistent, those same people will start respecting you.

And if nobody around you appreciates your growth, you might simply be in the wrong network.

Which means it's time to build a better one.

And the easiest place to start?

LinkedIn.

Because unlike many platforms, LinkedIn rewards meaningful effort.

You don’t need to overcomplicate it.
You don’t need to be perfect.

Just start.

Because the biggest myth stopping most people is this:

“People are thinking about me.”

In reality…

Most people are simply thinking about themselves. 🙂

Agree?

“Shraddha… people have forgotten you.” That thought sat in my head for a while.

No more frequent features.
Fewer people celebrating your work.
New people on the platform who don’t even know you.

And for a moment, it felt real.

But then I realized something.
This wasn’t the internet being unfair.
It was simply momentum slowing down.

When you step back, for any reason,
visibility also steps back.

That’s not punishment.
That’s just how momentum works.
For some time, I wasn’t as consistent.

Not because I didn’t care.
Life simply demanded attention in other places.

And when consistency breaks,
the consequences are real.

People move on.
Audiences move on.
Algorithms move on.

Momentum is never lost overnight.
It quietly fades when consistency pauses.

The good part?
Momentum can also be rebuilt.
Not by chasing attention.
But by showing up again.

If you’ve ever stepped back from something you built,
you’ll understand this feeling.

And if you’re rebuilding right now
You’re not late.

You’re just restarting momentum.

How to find clients and make money on LinkedIn: 

I’m Shraddha.

And honestly, the moment I realised I could break the “Tier-3 city barrier,” something changed.

My dreams started getting bigger.

Because once you cross the mental boundary of “people like us don’t do this,”

You start seeing possibilities everywhere.

Sometimes the biggest barrier isn’t talent, money, or resources.

It’s exposure.

“Hi, let’s connect.”
"Hi, I would like to have you in my network."

Most people complain that their LinkedIn connection requests get ignored.

But they send requests like this:
“Hi, let’s connect.”

No context.
No familiarity.
No reason for the other person to accept.

Here’s a simple strategy I teach that dramatically increases acceptance rate.

Before sending a connection request, do these 3 things first:

1/3- Comment on their posts for at least a week.

Don’t just write “Great post” or “Agree.”
Make a meaningful contribution.

Add an insight.
Share a perspective.
Ask a thoughtful question.

💡 PRO tip: 
When your comment adds value, people start recognizing your name.

And recognition increases acceptance.

2/3- Engage with the type of content they interact with

Look at:

• What posts they comment on
• What topics they care about
• What conversations they join

Then participate there too.

This puts you in their visibility circle 👀

3/3- Don’t limit yourself to LinkedIn

Many professionals are also active on:

• Instagram
• YouTube
• X / Twitter

Follow them there as well and engage genuinely.

When people see your name across platforms, familiarity builds faster.

Now something important happens:

You’ve already shown your face.
You’re no longer a stranger.
You’ve added value.

Then send the connection request.

If the relevance is strong and your engagement was genuine, the acceptance rate goes up significantly 📈

Leaving my job changed how I see work.

In 2020, I left my job as a Digital Media Manager.

So I kept learning.

Every new skill increased my value.



RULE 2: 
Offer solutions, not services.

Most freelancers say:

“I write posts.”
“I design graphics.”
“I manage accounts.”

Clients don’t buy tasks.

They buy solutions to problems.

The moment you start solving outcomes,
your value - and your income - changes.


Within 3 months of leaving my job, freelancing was already outperforming my salary.

Not because freelancing is easy.
But because skills + solutions create leverage.

Freelancers who sell tasks compete on price.
Freelancers who solve problems compete on value.


Today freelancing is even easier to start.
But the principle is still the same.

Learn fast.
Solve real problems.

I was like…
