I began my career as a research and design physicist developing new laser and sensor technologies for defensive military applications. These roles focused on new product development in a stage gate environment. Projects varied from several months to several years with multiple programs winning multi-million dollar contracts . One of the greatest skills these experiences taught me was earned value project management and risk mitigation approaches.  

Additional responsibilities included management of Environmental Health & Safety, Corporate Capital Audit Procedures, and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 & 14001 compliance for 40+ employees and several  hazardous laboratory environments. 

As my career progressed, I was selected for Northrop Grumman's early career leadership training program for high potential employees with demonstrated leadership skills and management opportunity. An experiential program exposed participants to cross-functional teams throughout the country and concluded with a capstone project for corporate leadership.

Research and Development Physicist

With over 10 years of experience in marketing and innovation, I am a Global Brand Manager at SC Johnson, where I develop new products and brands to disrupt the Pest Control, Home Cleaning, and Air Care categories. I have a passion for creating value for consumers and businesses by identifying and solving their unmet needs and challenges.

In my previous roles at RB and 3M, I led new product development for a $500M+ portfolio across 10+ consumer packaged good brands, from concept to innovation pipeline. I also managed cross-functional teams of R&D, design, marketing communications, legal, sourcing, and supply chain in collaborative stage gate reviews with executive leadership. I have a strong track record of delivering successful new product launches, generating insights, finding white space opportunities, and optimizing portfolio strategy. I hold an MBA from the Wisconsin School of Business and a BS in Physics from Illinois State University. I also have multiple certifications and patents in the field of innovation and design.
