All the branding advice on LinkedIn is for B2C. And it falls apart when applied to B2B. (Where the real money is.) 

I wish I could exclusively build brands around emotional storytelling and lifestyle aspirations. Around nostalgic memories and the color of love. 

But I help coaches & consultants sell $25K-$50K contracts to VPs and executives who need trusted vendors and ROI projections, not inspiration.

The famous brand strategists love to say:

- "Build an emotional connection"
- "Create a lifestyle brand"
- "Make them feel something"

That advice works beautifully for sneakers, chocolates, and skincare.
But it fails miserably for B2B consulting services.

Here's what actually matters in B2B branding: 👇

Not: "What feeling does your brand evoke?"
But: "What specific problem do you solve and for whom?"

Not: "What's your brand personality?"
But: "What credibility signals prove you can deliver at the highest level?"

⚠️ B2C branding is about desire. 
✅ B2B branding is about trust.

Different psychology → Different strategy → Different execution.

The B2B buying process:

1. Multiple stakeholders evaluate ROI and risk.
2. Committees review proposals for weeks/months.
3. Decisions get made on projections, not emotions.

Your "authentic personal story" is hot garbage if you can't clearly articulate what you do and why you're the smartest, safest choice for the SPECIFIC problem your prospect is trying to resolve. 

This is why coaches and consultants struggle.

They follow B2C branding advice, build beautiful "personal brands," then wonder why C-suite buyers don't respond.

We help coaches and consultants sell B2B because that's where the lion's share of the money is. 

But it requires different branding than what's trending on LinkedIn.

Technical founders and executives trust process rigour, not charisma. 

Your "amazing" personality will not compensate for an unclear/weak offer. 

And this is especially true for high-ticket coaches and consultants. 

So, before you start pitching to every Tom, D!ck, and Harry...
Spend a few weeks tidying up your offer, pricing, and value proposition. 

You'll see a lot more success that way.

P.S. Very few exceptions apply.

When your website analytics show visitors leaving after 12 seconds, you have two choices:

1/ Reject the data: 
"Our website is fine. People just don't understand quality."

2/ Embrace the data: 
"Our messaging isn't connecting. Let's test why."

When the data reveals your business & brand are confusing, you can either defend your approach. Or you can improve it.

Similarly... 

When competitor analysis shows they're winning deals with different strategies, you can dismiss them as lucky or study what they're doing right.

Ultimately, the businesses that adapt quicker don't always have better intuition. They have better acceptance of uncomfortable truths. 

➡️ Business growth often lives on the other side of comfort.
