A bit about me: I started my first e-commerce company when I was 23. Back then, it was selling baby gates and barn door hardware across a couple Etsy shops and on Amazon. While continuing to grow my e-commerce business on the side I got a job as a sourcing manager at a distribution company to learn more about high level supply chain with major retailers (HSN, QVC, Walmart, etc.). 

Years later, after helping countless DTC brand optimize their supply chain through running Made-in-China's sourcing division, I noticed major issues in the way e-commerce companies used software in operations. I built and sold an RFQ management system that helped DTC brands optimize their purchasing.  Then, I moved on and became a CEO of a DTC brand at 28. My experience running Qualtry showed even more the gap in the market of software solutions in e-commerce that address the entire supply chain.

Cursor has convinced me that speed is what really makes AI magical. Their new Composer 1 model is so fast I literally can't type my next prompt before it completes the last one.


So as long as I'm not building something technical that needs an iterative more hands on approach, I can build out multiple milestones, identify which ones can be done asynchronously, and then I can throw Cursor at each of those milestone groups with agents.

And if you're really brave (or dumb), you can let it use your CLI at-will without your specific permission each time it wants to access the CLI.

I've even considered getting a separate machine in addition to my daily driver purely so that I can let it just do it's thing with the CLI and if it were to make any crazy mistakes, it wouldn't ruin my daily driver. 😂


Ultimately, Cursor 2.0 is a huge leap in terms of development environments for building software with AI and Composer 1's speed and quality are so good, I wouldn't be surprised of Cursor actually starts to make a dent in the Claude Code space.

Ten days ago, if you told me to build a design-heavy website in Cursor, I’d have called it cruel and unusual punishment. Especially when you have WYSIWYG tools like Framer and even Lovable available.

But Cursor 2.0 changed all of that. With the ability to directly select elements on the page and then say how you want them to work differently it's made the entire experience basically seamless.

Add in the ability to deploy directly to platforms like Vercel so your site loads like butter? You just can't beat this building experience now.

First design heavy website in Cursor. (February, link in comments):
10 hrs to build.
Not really up to my standard when it comes to look and feel.
On Wix/Framer it would have been about 3 hrs.

Now with Cursor 2.0. (November, image below and link in comments):
12 hrs to build.
Looks and feels incredible.
On Wix/Framer it would have taken me nearly 22-26 hours to build something this incredible.
