A bit about me: I started my first e-commerce company when I was 23. Back then, it was selling baby gates and barn door hardware across a couple Etsy shops and on Amazon. While continuing to grow my e-commerce business on the side I got a job as a sourcing manager at a distribution company to learn more about high level supply chain with major retailers (HSN, QVC, Walmart, etc.). 

Years later, after helping countless DTC brand optimize their supply chain through running Made-in-China's sourcing division, I noticed major issues in the way e-commerce companies used software in operations. I built and sold an RFQ management system that helped DTC brands optimize their purchasing.  Then, I moved on and became a CEO of a DTC brand at 28. My experience running Qualtry showed even more the gap in the market of software solutions in e-commerce that address the entire supply chain.

During my period at Tute Genomics, a cutting-edge startup in Provo, Utah, I was immersed in the development of rapid and precise cloud-based systems for annotating human genomic data. Working alongside industry stalwarts like Dr. Kai Wang and Dr. Reid J. Robison, I tapped into technology’s potential to aid researchers and clinicians in unraveling complex genetic data.

Here’s a snapshot of my journey:

Interactive Report Builder: Leveraged AngularJS to construct a dynamic and interactive report builder, transforming the way professionals engage with data.

AWS Migration: Led the transition to AWS, enhancing our infrastructure’s scalability and agility while providing a stable platform for growth.

Scalability Enhancement: Amplified our processing capability from handling 3 genomes per hour to over 300, ensuring speed and accuracy went hand in hand.

AWS Elastic Search Solution: Spearheaded the development of a robust and scalable elastic search solution on AWS, expanding our search capabilities significantly.

Pipeline Optimization: Streamlined pipeline processing times from several hours to a mere 10 minutes, setting a new standard in efficiency.

PHP with Zend Framework: Managed and refined a code base developed by an outsourced team, employing PHP with Zend Framework 1 to enhance stability and functionality.

Pre-acquisition Role: Played a decisive role during the acquisition by PierianDX in 2016, maintaining the innovative spirit and operational efficiency that Tute was known for.

At Worldwide Software, I stepped into the role of a Junior Developer working closely under the guidance of Scott Beebe, a seasoned JD Edwards consultant. This period was marked by significant hands-on experience and growth, focusing on the practical aspects of ERP systems – knowledge that translates substantially into my current role.

Business Method Extension: Diligently worked on building published business methods to widen the functionality of JD Edwards, enabling more streamlined and effective processes within the system.

Third-Party App Development: Played a key role in constructing third-party applications that could sync and access JD Edwards business services, providing more integrated and efficient solutions for users.

Batch Process and Report Customization: Specialized in tailoring batch processes and reports to meet specific client needs, a role that honed my skills in customizing solutions to specific client demands, thereby ensuring higher satisfaction and better results.

Working in a role that required a deep understanding of ERP functionalities, I cultivated a robust skill set in ERP customizations, readying me for the complex demands and innovative solutions crafted in my endeavors today.

It’s designed to be able to expand to any university in the country.

I worked directly with our client’s technical teams. These clients included some of the largest medical transcription companies in the world: Webmedx, Medquist, Stentell, and Bayscribe.  I played a central role in the development of our groundbreaking health care solution.  My tasks included but were not limited to:
Writing in Perl and Python to automate the intake of records and the testing of our application
Debugging complex XML output from a NLP program called MEDLEE
Enhancements in the UI which used EXTJS (a JavaScript UI library)
Creation of filters for our Java based “feeder” (the feeder was our application which fed data to our indexer)
Wrote efficient Perl scripts to parse what would be up to terabytes of data
