After returning from working in Australia for over 5 years I took up the role of Project Manager looking after 250,000t of Reinforcement (including supply and prefabrication) on the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Plant in Somerset.

I was the Mechanical SPE for both LNG Tank 1 and 2 on the Ichthys Cryogenic Tanks Project in Darwin. This role involves;
- Management of tank Project and Site Engineers
- Management of the planning, engineering and delivery of all mechanical related activities for the LNG tanks which includes ; 9% nickel shell and floor install, internal piping and all insulation.

Senior Project Engineer

I was the Mechanical engineer in charge of one of the 2 LNG tanks. Previously to this I was the engineering and supervision lead for the Reinforcement package for the LNG and LPG tanks on the Ichthys project.

These roles involve;
- Design Management and coordination
- Procurement of both cryogenic and normal steel from overseas
- Logistics; Steel was procured from both Italy and Thailand spread over 9 shipments
- Installation (over 12,000t of reinforcement over the 4 tanks)
- Implementing and integrating the main contractor's QA system with that of Laing O'Rourke's.
- Site management and supervision
- Safety elements i.e. daily pre-starts, SWMS implementation, monitoring and review-
- Planning, including resource allocation
- Cost control
- Quantity reporting

Project Engineer

My role was to manage the Civil, earthworks and accommodation install packages for an Accommodation Village which houses 3500 people, and includes central facilities such as a 1750 man canteen, outdoor swimming pool, indoor/outdoor sports complex and licensed areas. The packages also include 18km of concrete footpath, veranda installation, underground service installation, 10km of overground drainage, 3.5 km of roads and 7 carparks. The total value of the project was $400 million.

Project Engineer (Civils)

- Assisted with handover of Fire, PA, Affray and Security package
- Designed and managed install of site Riser Access Strategy
- Assisted with snagging and handover of building

Section Manager

Project Dart Data Centre, Slough.  £77 million Fit out			

•	Managed and helped procure the build packages for the first and 2nd floor of the building, which included Raised Access Flooring, White Wall installation, Blockwork and Steelwork.
•	Sections managed included Data storage space (deep clean and handover), associated plantrooms and office fit-out
•	I was Environmental coordinator for the project.  I helped the client achieve LEED Gold and BREEAM Excellent.
•	Lead the projects Considerate Constructor’s Scheme, achieved a score of 36.5
•	Chaired the sites Safety Committee meetings, amongst other Health and safety responsibilities associated with package management (i.e. delivery of inductions, toolbox talks, approval of Risk Assessments/Method Statements etc)

Hertfordshire Data Centre, Welwyn Garden City. £68 million New Build
A fast track, brown field project, with 3000m2 of data hall space, office and ancillary plant areas enclosed in a blast resilient building.

•	Managed all the build aspects of both ancillary buildings, (namely the reception and security gatehouse), from sub-structure to final handover covering health and safety, cost-control, programme, coordination with services and quality.
•	Took-over and finished the Cladding and landscaping packages.
•	I was Environmental coordinator for the project. I helped the client achieve BREEAM excellent. In fact this was the first data centre in the world to achieve this feat.
•	Lead the projects Considerate Constructor’s Scheme, achieved a score of 36.5
•	Chaired the sites Safety Committee meetings, amongst other Health and safety responsibilities associated with package management (i.e. delivery of inductions, toolbox talks, approval of Risk Assessments/Method Statements etc)
•	I was given the role as Quality Coordinator for the project.
