Most LinkedIn profiles are built to impress.
Not convert.

The culprit is almost always your headline.

Most people write what they are:

“Founder | Coach | Consultant | Helping people grow”

That’s a job title.
Not a positioning statement.

It tells me what you do.
It tells me nothing about what I get.

Here’s how to fix it using AI:

Open ChatGPT and type this prompt:

“I am a [your role]. I help [your audience] achieve [specific outcome]. Write me 5 LinkedIn headlines that lead with their result, not my title.”

You’ll get 5 positioning-first headlines in under 30 seconds.

Then take it to Claude and ask:

“Does this headline sound like something 100 other coaches could have written? If yes, make it more specific to my niche.”

That one extra step removes the generic.

What you’re left with follows this structure:

Who you help → What outcome you create → What makes you different

Before:
“LinkedIn Coach | Personal Branding Enthusiast”

After:
“I help service-based professionals turn LinkedIn into an inbound lead system without posting every day.”

Same person.
Completely different signal.

One describes you.
The other speaks to your client.

But here's what gets skipped:

Positioning isn't what you write in your headline.

3 signals your LinkedIn positioning has failed:
