We've started branching out our event formats at Capsule and partnering with individuals—not other brands.

While I think there are some benefits to partnering on events with other companies, it outweighs the benefits IMO. 

Your messaging gets diluted. 

Last week we co-hosted our 2nd event with Kira Klaas. Kira has an incredible Substack called On Brand (one of the only work newsletters I read every issue!), and she's built a strong community of brand leaders.

Partnering with creators, community leaders, or Substackers, there's no competition for messaging. Just audience + interest overlap. 

Most guests come to these events because they're Kira fans :):)

This feels like the natural next step in influencer partnerships, and I'm excited to do more of these.
