My WHOOP says I'm 32. I'm actually 41.

And I still wouldn't recommend my health routine to you.

I wake up at 6:00 am. Every day. I train 5x a week, 60-120 minutes each morning. Zone 2 cardio, HIIT, strength training, yoga, sauna. Daily nature walks. Intermittent fasting. High-protein breakfasts, low carbs, all cooked from scratch.

This might sound extreme. For me, it's what keeps me sane.

My routine works for me because of my history, stress levels, genetics, goals, and yes, privileges.

What frustrates me? 
Health experts claiming their protocol works for everyone.

Every day, another health guru tells you: 
"Do this ONE thing to transform your life." 
"Copy my morning routine." 
"This biohack changed everything."

But they don't know your sleep debt. 
Your injury history. 
Your work schedule, family obligations, or mental health.

The 16:8 fasting that helps me might trigger someone else's eating disorder.
The 6:00 am wake-up that energizes me might destroy a night shift worker.
The HIIT sessions I love might injure someone recovering from burnout.

We've turned health into a one-size-fits-all Instagram template.

It's just not.

So here's my actual advice: 
Stop taking health advice from strangers who don't know your story.

Stay curious. 
Learn from others. 
Experiment with what resonates.

But remember, my 9,2 years of biological age reversal came with years of trial, error, and a very specific life context you don't share.

I'm done prescribing. I'm staying curious.

Every Thursday, grocery shopping. I could choose whatever I wanted. Gummy bears. Chocolate. Cookies.

Sugar equals happiness, they thought.

Then one Monday, my Dad asked if I wanted to join his table tennis training.

I said yes.

And got hooked.

Not because I was good. I lost badly in my first tournaments.

But I'm extremely competitive. This sport triggered something in my brain I didn't know existed.

I wanted to win. No matter what.

So I trained:

↳ 3x became 5x 
↳ Soon I was living in that sports hall

I became Hamburg junior champion. Started competing nationally.

What I didn't expect:

Showing up felt effortless. Even on days I didn't want to train. Even when tired. Even when friends were hanging out without me.

My brain had been rewired.

The science:
Kids who play organized sports during developmental years create permanent neural pathways. Grey matter responsible for motor control forms mostly before puberty. This is when sports reshape how your brain functions.

Despite eating candy constantly, my brain was being optimized for discipline and consistency.

The sugar didn't matter (so much). The daily repetition did.

Here are 16 life lessons I wish I knew at 18.

1. → Call your parents today
Not tomorrow. One day, that call goes to voicemail forever. And you'll remember every time you were "too busy."

2. → Sleep on every angry message
I've blown up friendships and business opportunities in 60 seconds that took years to build. Wait 24 hours. Always.

3. → Forgive for your own peace
That person who screwed you over? They're not thinking about you. Stop giving them free rent in your head. Don't do it for them, do it for you.

4. → When you judge others, you're judging yourself
Every time I catch myself being critical, it's because something's wrong in my own life. Not theirs.

5. → No mistake is permanent
That thing that feels like it destroyed everything? In five years you won't remember why it mattered. Let it go. Do better tomorrow.

6. → Love without holding back
Your kids. Your partner. Your friends. Nobody on their deathbed wished they'd loved less.

7. → Cut toxic people out immediately
Doesn't matter how brilliant they are or what doors they open. If someone makes you feel like shit, they're too expensive to keep around.

8. → Be the person you'd want to meet
Treat people how you want to be treated. We all forget this daily.

Your worst day might be someone else’s dream life. Remember that when you’re stuck in traffic, whining about Wi-Fi, or skipping the gym because it’s “too cold.” Gratitude hits different when you zoom out.

13. → Fill your cup first
You can't help anyone from an empty tank. Taking care of yourself isn't selfish. It's required.

14. → Just ask for help
That thing you're scared to ask? Most people want to help. I've been shocked how often the answer is yes.

15. → Say yes to life, not just work
Cancel the meeting. Take the trip. Stay for that extra drink with your friend. You’ll forget the emails, but you’ll remember the feeling of being alive.

16. → Keep going when others stop
Most people quit just before the breakthrough. That’s your moment to push harder. The magic starts outside your comfort zone.

I'm 42. Still don't have it figured out. But life is shorter than you think and longer than you fear.

Call the people you love. Fix what you can. Let go of what you can't. Own your decisions and make every day count.
