I'm obsessed with building and scaling healthy, happy and high-performing workplaces through their most valuable asset: their people. 

Over the last decade, I've helped 3 companies get this right:
 
1. A European Venture Capital firm to the US and investing their first $10M
2. FOX/NatGeo EMEA through the $70B Disney acquisition 
3. The UK’s first EdTech unicorn, Multiverse, from pre-seed to Series D and past a $1B valuation

I've designed mega structures post-fundraise, hired 1000+ people globally and hold a consistent retention rate of 98% and 50% gender and ethnic diversity in every team I've built.

But in 2023, I "left" tech disillusioned by stats like 70% of startups fail in years 2-5 and minority founders only having access to 2% of VC funding. 

I started keshty as an experienced I/O Psychologist, Senior Ops Leader and serial scaler to help others - particularly underrepresented founders - nail it the first time.

Please think twice before expecting Iranians to perform at 100% this week.

We didn't relax this weekend.
We haven't relaxed since the start of 2026.
We haven't relaxed in 47 years as we carry generations of grief and trauma.

Yet we still show up. 
We still go above and beyond expectations.
We still run businesses, teams and lives under the weight of it all. 

If you’re not Iranian but care about, work with or even just know an Iranian, please:

Check in. A simple show of support is minimal effort for you but means the world to us.

Manage expectations and be realistic - especially if you lead. Work isn’t life or death, but what we are experiencing literally is. Cut us some slack and maintain perspective.

Be kind. Take a beat, consider tone and be gentle with the Iranians in your life. We are carrying incredibly complex feelings and immeasurable weight. Please don’t add to it.

And finally, resist the urge to project your own beliefs and ideologies onto the situation. I spent most of this weekend being told who I am, how I should feel, and why I'm a massive b3llend by non-Iranians. 

The Iranian experience is incredibly difficult to understand, unless you genuinely seek to. To do this work, I suggest getting comfortable with the discomfort of nuance, questioning the validity of sensationalized non-Iranian narratives and listening to actual Iranians. 

The world needs a free Iran. The Iranians in your life need space and support. 

May we all see better days ahead.

As I wrap up my final week in London (after 13 blummin’ years!!), I’m knee-deep in my feelings.

It’s taken everything in me to keep it together:

On the tube.
In tiny cafes.
At Borough Market.
At Somerset House.
On Waterloo Bridge.
In my local Waterstones.
Looking up at the Gherkin.
Looking down at the Thames.
Everything about the home LBRUT gave me (iykyk).

Amidst grumpy commuters coughing in my face, dewey-eyed tourists in awe of Big Ben and the endless variety of British accents; in a place no one knew my name or story - I found an unexpected second home. I’d go on to work, build and grow with some of the most brilliant minds I could ever dream of.

London enabled me to become exactly who I was meant to be. This city has given me more than I could ask for, and I’ll never take it for granted.

In other ways, it’s also exhausted me. 

They say when you’re tired of London, you’re tired of life. But those who’ve migrated to London and built a life here know the nuance - this city can invigorate every fiber of your being, while relentlessly pushing your boundaries and challenging your enthusiasm.

From the moment I stepped foot in London, I had to fight - to:

Survive Brexit.
Stay in the UK. 
Secure places to live.
Endure London landlords.
Navigate US / UK tax laws.
Have employers sponsor me.
Stay employed consecutively.
Start a business from scratch.
And finally, become a British citizen.

(not to mention to see the sun once in a while, lel)

London hardens you with a healthy dose of cynicism and humility (see: crippling self-deprecation, cleverly wrapped in humor). It’s the core charm of being British. 

While I wouldn’t have it any other way, I’m also incredibly ready for Californian friendliness, vitamin D and my day ones who never wavered despite my distance. 

I leave London filled with gratitude, fatigue, lightness, heaviness, less chips on my shoulder, more grays in my hair, and an all-encompassing appreciation for every tiny detail of my life here.

To the city that raised me, the community that championed me and the country that adopted me - thank you. 

It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you soon 🫶

New postcode, who this? 

We've made it, Cali-friends! Still getting used to the jetlag and that large yellow orb in the sky (she doesn't frequent London), but we're OUT HERE. 

LinkedIn has no option for Orange County (we ride at dawn), so you'll see the 'vine as my new location.

Why Irvine and not the only other option LI offered - the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area? I toyed it with for longer than I care to admit because I'm a proud LA gal through and through.

BUT one thing that excited me most about coming back was being at the center of *SoCal* tech - which includes, but is not limited to LA.

Everyone (and their investors) goes on about SF and NY - but I'm excited to build amongst the greatest talent in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. 

We operate differently down here. It's infectious, and having my base as the OC lands me smack dab in the middle of it. 

So with that - I'm trying to (re)connect with friends old and new 🩵

I'm excited to give and get back amongst SoCal's plethora of multi-exited founders, buzzy startups and people who want to build as much as they want to live.
