Led the Atlanta Release Project, in which immigrants were assisted in deportation proceedings by filing Fraihat and humanitarian parole petitions.

Assisted the Chief for the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by conducting argumentation tasks during master calendar hearings and filed motions in deportation matters.  

Conducted legal research on the Immigration and Naturalization Act (INA) and its application to different cases.

Assigned to the Adults' Team

Assisted asylum seekers by drafting asylum application forms while they awaited their turn at the Arizona/Sonora border for their credible fear interviews.  

Conducted Know Your Rights meetings with immigrant detained adults at the Florence Correctional Center in Florence, Arizona.

Collaborated with the Kino Border Initiative (KBI) by assisting attorneys to conduct interviews with asylum seekers of Cuban, Venezuelan, Honduran, and Mexican nationalities.

Drafted asylum applications, work permits, T and U visas, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJ) petitions, letters and all supplementary forms for U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS).  

Conducted Know Your Rights meetings with the immigrant children of Rio Grande Valley, South Texas, and filled out intake forms for them at the Southwest Key Programs of Casa Presidente, Casa Rio Grande, and Casa Padre ORR shelters located in Brownsville, Texas.  

Appeared in court and assisted attorneys with the immigration defense of children during master calendar hearings at the Harlingen immigration court.
