Yesterday morning reminded me of something important:

My friends have no idea what I actually do.

And honestly? I don’t blame them.

Here are 3 reasons why:

1️⃣ They have a commercial mindset -- so the idea that I spend my time helping founders who don’t blows their minds. 

“Wait... they built a product without thinking about how to sell it?” Yes. Yes, they did.

2️⃣ They work corporate jobs -- and assume “entrepreneurship” means I drink flat whites and “ideate” in co-working spaces all day.

3️⃣ They’re not on social media -- so they genuinely don’t get why I’m “posting on LinkedIn again” instead of doing something useful... like emailing a deck or cold calling someone. 

The idea that your personal brand drives deal flow? 
Totally foreign.

Bonus: A lot of them don’t understand why I work this hard when, technically, I don’t have to… 😉

Here’s the thing: I love what I do. 

I love helping founders get clarity, simplify their sales, and grow. And yes, I'm pretty active onLinkedIn (don’t @ me).

So no, I can’t always explain my job in one sentence at dinner. But that’s fine -- they’ve stopped asking.

(Also I’m pretty sure a few of them still think I sell crypto.)

Because they were obsessing over features... and ignoring the one voice that actually matters:

This is the most common trap I see with tech founders: They build for what’s possible, not for what’s needed. 

They fall in love with the product, instead of the problem.

A business only exists if someone pays for what you’ve built. 
Until then, it’s just a project.

Talk to your buyers more than your backlog. 
Revenue is the loudest form of product validation.

Had a discovery call scheduled with a prospect.

They didn’t show.

And Zoom -- in its infinite, algorithmic wisdom -- sent me this summary:

“Zoltan expressed frustration and disbelief over an unspecified situation, using strong language to convey his dissatisfaction.”

Honestly? 10/10 accuracy. 

No transcript needed. 
No words exchanged. 
Just vibes. Strong, disappointed founder vibes.

AI didn’t just summarize the call. 
It summarized the emotional experience of being ghosted as an entrepreneur.

Somewhere in the cloud, an LLM whispered: "He’s talking to the void again. Mark it down as disbelief."
