End working from home!?

1,223 votes.

53% said they’re just as productive at home.
45% chose hybrid.
3% want everyone back full-time.

That’s a decent sample size.
So no… the appetite to “end working from home” doesn’t exactly look overwhelming.

My take:

If you want fully remote work, go for it.
Target companies built that way.

If you’re hiring and want people in the office, go for it.
Hire people aligned to that.

The side with the leverage changes depending on market conditions.

More candidates than jobs? Companies can be choosy.
More jobs than candidates? Flexibility increases.

That isn’t ideology. It’s supply and demand.

What’s not helpful is the lazy labels.

An office-first company isn’t automatically toxic.
A remote worker isn’t automatically lazy.

If a role is measurable, performance shows up anywhere. Office. Home. The moon.

One final thought.

Flexibility is often earned through credibility.
Most strong remote professionals built their foundation somewhere first. They learned by being around people better than them.

Choose your environment.
Just understand the trade-offs.

In the UK, Farage stated that people work better “as part of a team” in an office and described claims that staff are more productive at home as a “load of nonsense”.
