I always add some Cisco Meraki sensors to my clients quotes. The reason is simple, bad luck happens often in server rooms. 🔻

It’s a game changer: all Meraki clients got 5 sensors licenses for free. This mesns in that example that this client can get a water leak detector for less than $100 and use the sensor without buying a license.

That is pretty cheap solution to avoid destroying $100 000 of Nexus switches and servers.

Meraki offers those sensors:

MT10 – Temperature & Humidity Sensor
Monitors ambient temperature and humidity in real time. Ideal for server rooms, network closets, offices, and warehouses to prevent overheating and moisture-related issues. Cloud-managed with alerts and historical trends.

MT11 – Temperature Probe Sensor
Designed for environments requiring probe-based temperature monitoring. Supports multiple probe options and wide temperature ranges, making it suitable for cold storage, freezers, labs, and food or pharmaceutical compliance use cases.

MT12 – Water Leak Detection Sensor
Detects water presence using spot or cable-based leak detection. Commonly deployed under raised floors, near HVAC units, or in basements to prevent costly water damage and downtime. IPX5-rated for durability.

MT14 – Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Sensor
Measures indoor air quality metrics including PM2.5, total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), ambient noise, temperature, and humidity. Well suited for schools, offices, healthcare, and shared spaces.

MT15 – Indoor Air Quality & CO₂ Sensor
Advanced IAQ sensor that includes all MT14 metrics plus CO₂ monitoring. Enables organizations to optimize ventilation, improve occupant comfort, and support health and wellness initiatives.

MT20 – Open/Close (Door) Sensor
Monitors door, cabinet, or rack open/close events using a magnetic sensor. Features long battery life and tamper detection, ideal for security, compliance, and infrastructure monitoring.

MT30 – Smart Automation Button
Programmable button used to trigger alerts or workflows in the Meraki Dashboard. Common use cases include panic buttons, service requests, or manual incident reporting.

MT40 – Smart Power Controller
Monitors and controls power usage remotely. Enables organizations to reboot devices, manage power schedules, and gain visibility into energy consumption for sustainability and cost control.

I just finished my CBT Nuggets CCNA training. 🚀Now it’s time to study and practice for the exam.🔻


I started this training in July 2025 and spent more than 93 hours watching those amazing videos and doing the labs to practice what I’ve learned.

I’ve been in networking all my career but I swear I’ve learned a lot. I had no idea how Wi-Fi worked before.

I did not knew why Cisco SR (MMF) transceivers were cheaper than LR (Single Mode).

I really think that everyone working in networking and especially sales should do the CCNA. All of the information in that course is so useful. Even after 26 years I’ve learned new things. 

CCNA shows us how to do the things correctly. A lot of people even working with Fortinet are doing this course as it’s the best.

I can’t wait to test my knowledge in the CBTNuggets practice exam.

I think everyone from my generation watched that movie at least 5 times. I missed the 90s for that reason, the movies were so good and we were inspired by them.

Let’s take a look at Forrest Gump. The guy is not the sharpest tool in the shed. I think he knows that but he still continues fighting to get a good life. The movies shows that he gets very lucky meeting the US president and winning millions of dollars on his shrimp boat. Success seems to be coming to him but there is one thing that is not told in the story: he works like crazy and never stop believing in his projects.

When he first try to fish in the sea, nothing was coming out of his net except trash. He did not stop and continued fishing day and night till he got lucky that an hurricane hits and destroyed all the boats except his.

So let’s be like Forrest. Work harder and never stop believing in our projects. Success will come for sure.
