As a lead generation intern at Proper Support Media, I had to work within a team of 4 interns, prospecting via phone, e-mail, and social media tools, working closely with the strategic account manager and the global sourcing director and participating with them on the client(in our case vendors) calls. We had the opportunity to do direct b2b calls with vendors from Europe, to the US, to Asia. We also used existing prospecting techniques and developed new levels of communication for our company's marketing strategy. I had daily targets (100 calls per day) that I met and even surpassed. This is relevant because I had to handle each phone call with courtesy, tact, and sensitivity and that is exactly why I think courage is not only "doing the right thing, however hard", it is also being resilient and persistent, no matter how challenging the situation is. Toward the end of the internship, we were also in charge of qualifying leads and taking greater responsibility in terms of generating leads, winning new business and developing client accounts, as well as converting new business with high calibre and insightful proposals.
