Business development and advocacy organization of 409 members. Manage Visitor Center (90,000 visitors annually), Visitor Information Services for national and international clientele and general chamber services. Serve as liaison between businesses and governmental agencies. Facilitate policymaking and implement policy established by 13-member volunteer Board of Directors. Drive business to members by matching them to consumer needs. Promote new and existing businesses through comprehensive media management programs. Establish and work with all-volunteer committees in such areas as business development, women managers, legislation, etc.

Responsible for the overall running of the operation, with a focus on the news/editorial side. Managed the ad and production staffs. Responsible for meeting revenue and expense budgets.

I spent most of my career as a newspaper executive in the second-largest media group in the U.S. In 2003, I discovered coaching, got certified and opened my own business -- all after only 5 months of coaching! A few years later, I took the job as CEO for the Key Largo (Fla.) Chamber of Commerce. 

It was a fabulous run for seven years, but in 2012 I made another transition to focus on my own business and my lifelong passion -- helping people get what they want out of life.  

In 2016, I published a book titled, "The DIY Coaching Manual for Women: How to Transform Your Life in 12 Months." My next book will be called, "Please! Learn From My Mistakes!" :-)

Community Support Specialist

State of Nebraska

Manage caseload of 25 Medically High Risk Developmentally Disabled individuals.  Work to transfer from nursing homes to facilities designed for developmentally disabled individuals with seven or less living in high risk medical homes.  Check records for medications management, care received daily, socialization and overall healthcare.  Contact guardians regarding individual health status.  Traveling throughout the State of Nebraska to visit individuals and oversee transitions to new facilities. Report to the Department of Justice for bi annual reviews in person for five care practices.

Community Coordinator Specialist

Determined eligibility for Aged, Blind and Disabled Medicaid, Food Stamps, Energy Assistance, Personal Assistance Services, transportation, and work programs.  Managed caseload of 200 individuals.

Social Services Specialist

Manage incoming paperwork for distribution to social workers, answer and direct phones, assist Social Workers with case management.

Case Aide

I currently work at SHIP helping people enroll in Medicare and assist with problems and questions they might have.  I am a complex interactions specialist for Senior Medicare Patrol and report Medicare scams reported by beneficiaries of Medicare to Federal law enforcement agencies.  Received Fraud Prevention Finest award October 2022 from national Senior Medicare Patrol, right n by Association for Community Living, a Federal grant administrator in Washington DC.  I have previously worked the Developmentally Disabled, Medicaid, Food Stamps, and a local Insurance company.  I enjoy working with people and like an active pace at work.
