Typically they'll say let's arrange a time, chase me, follow up on an arranged date

Then when you call back

"John, as promised I've got a note to speak with you today"

There are many other variations to this

If you don't know these 10 things about sales 

YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. It's not a sin not to get the deal. It's a sin to take a long time not to get the deal 

2. You can't lose something you never had 

3. If you find yourself convincing or trying to persuade - you've already lost 

4. The sales process should be all about the buyer 

5. The difference between influence and manipulate is intent 

6. There is no silver bullet, nothing will work 100% of the time

7. So many make things complicated. Keep things as simple as possible 

8. A prospect and a salesperson are 50/50. It is an equal relationship of solution and problem

9. You typically don't reap the benefits of your hard work for 90 days when it comes to prospecting 

10. Cold calling is the number one form of prospecting if you want qualified appointments

Don’t say yes. 
Ask them: “𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴?" 
Forces them to actually engage.

2. “Let me think about it.” 
Don’t chase. 
Instead: "𝘐𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺, 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨?"
Pushes them to give you the real answer.

3. “It’s too expensive.” 
Don’t drop the price.

Gets them thinking deeper.

4. “We already have a provider.” 
Don’t argue.

5. “Not interested.” 
Don’t hang up.

Often in meetings as useful as a broken condom.
 
You don't need to pitch them right there.

Instead, just hit them with:

"𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸, 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 30 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘧 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵, 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯?"
