Beyond day-to-day project delivery, I’ve also been involved in helping to set up and shape our Project Management Office (PMO). This has included putting clearer processes in place for project governance, structuring our reporting methods and figuring out how we prioritise and resource work across different teams.

Collaboration was a big part of my day-to-day, whether it was problem-solving with the team or ironing out project details with stakeholders. In this role, I managed projects from start to finish, often juggling multiple tasks at once and adapting to unexpected changes along the way. I worked closely with clients to understand their needs and goals, translating these into actionable project plans. Coordinating with different teams, I did my best to balance workloads, deadlines, and shifting priorities.

Throughout each project, I tracked progress, addressed challenges as they came up and made sure everyone was kept in the loop with regular updates. I also looked for ways to make our processes more efficient, so we could deliver quality results even when things got busy or timelines changed.

Spot On Consulting

In this role, I led a major business transformation project for an international client. My main focus was on driving meaningful organisational change and finding ways to help the client become more efficient in their day-to-day operations.

A big part of my job was rolling out change management strategies to make the transition as simple as possible for everyone involved. I spent a lot of time building strong relationships with stakeholders, keeping them informed and engaged through regular, open communication - even when navigating different time zones and remote work challenges.

This position called for a mix of strategic planning, hands-on leadership and adaptability. I had to continuously adjust our approach to fit a dynamic, fast-changing environment and make sure the whole team could move forward together, despite any bumps along the way.

In this role, I led product delivery for major clients, working with a cross-functional team using Agile (Scrum) methods. I focused on creating an open and collaborative environment where everyone could contribute and stay connected, whether we were in the office or working remotely.

My day-to-day involved keeping a close eye on project scope, timelines and risks, as well as making sure everyone had clear priorities. I regularly communicated with both the team and stakeholders to keep everyone aligned, provide updates and tackle issues as they came up. My goal was always to deliver high-quality results on time, making sure the project met client expectations while supporting the team throughout each sprint.

In this role, I managed multiple software projects end-to-end, guiding teams through the full SDLC. I worked closely with cross-functional groups, balancing priorities and resources across several active projects at a time. I was fortunate to work with a leadership team that truly led by example - they gave me both trust and autonomy, which allowed me to experiment with new project management approaches and make improvements to support faster delivery. Open, proactive communication with stakeholders and my team was always a priority, and I leaned on both Agile and Waterfall methods depending on each project’s needs, striving for continual process improvement alongside project delivery.

Stepping into the Project Coordinator role, I took on responsibility for projects throughout their lifecycle, translating high-level goals into actionable plans and ensuring alignment among teams and stakeholders. The leadership team’s support empowered me to try out new ideas and adapt our processes, always looking for better ways to help the team succeed in a fast-paced environment. I gained hands-on experience with Agile ceremonies, change management and dependency tracking while making sure open communication kept everyone engaged. The encouragement to experiment really shaped my approach, making delivery both effective and rewarding for the whole team.

In this role, I kept projects organised and moving forward - coordinating resources, schedules and risk management, and supporting governance processes. Early on, Derivco’s leadership team set a supportive tone and valued new ideas. Their trust in me gave me the confidence to actively support our transition to Agile and suggest tweaks to optimise how our projects were delivered. I collaborated closely with engineering teams, facilitated meetings and always aimed to set open, honest communication - with support from leaders who genuinely encouraged learning and innovation.
