Sorry as a Service is a customer retention solution that enables businesses to send apologies (chocolate, cookies, etc. + a handwritten personalised postcard), measure, track and optimise their retention activities, and reduce churn and negative sentiment. It integrates with CRM and help desk systems and make it easy for support agents to dispatch a physical apology through the network of apology partners like chocolateries, restaurants, and flower shops.

Sorry as a Service was born during the Garage 48 Hackathon in September 2014 in Pärnu, and the concept was so good our Nordic international team won the event. We liked the concept so much we actually set up a company and I was able to onboard our first clients within just a few weeks.

Some noteworthy milestones:

By 2035 (my guess it’s going to happen much faster), 75% of all car rentals are forecast to be booked via digital channels, driven by demand for hassle-free, self-service journeys and full digital ecosystems – not paper contracts at a counter‼️

We already compressed a decade of digital adoption into one year during COVID, and customers aren’t going back: they now expect Amazon-level simplicity at every step of their travel journey.  

At the same time, AI is no longer a “nice to have” toy. In travel and services, AI-driven customer journeys have shown up to 59% lower churn and massive boosts in satisfaction when every interaction is personalized and proactive 👉ℹ️ McKinsey & Company 

So my hypothesis is simple:

🆘 Only those car rental players who automate the full CJM, go fully digital, and make AI part of the daily routine will survive.
Everyone else will slowly become “just another offline supplier” in a world that books, compares, verifies ID, signs contracts and gets support… entirely in apps.

I’m building exactly this stack now — RMS + distribution + AI agents and happy to talk with anyone in the industry who is ready to move from “rental counter” to “always-on digital journey.”
