With 2 decades of experience in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and the UK, I’ve worn many hats: emergency medicine doctor, healthcare executive, startup advisor, and business strategist. 

My journey has taken me from frontline clinical care to the boardroom, where I now partner with healthcare founders, executives, and innovators to scale their impact and navigate the complexities of leadership.

After successfully building a successful haulage logistics business, here are 7 hard-earned lessons I believe every founder should master:

𝟏. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲.
Waiting for perfect timing kills momentum. Progress comes from action, not overthinking.

𝟐. 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦.
Don’t try to do everything. Focus on one painful problem your customer faces—and fix it better than anyone else.

𝟑. 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 > 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 > 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬.
Hire well. Train often. Treat people like partners. Strong operations are built on trust and discipline.

𝟒. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐕𝐏.
Profit looks good on paper. But it’s cash that keeps the business alive.

𝟓. 𝐅𝐢𝐱 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.
In logistics, delivery is your product. If you don’t execute with precision, no amount of marketing can save you.

𝟔. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞.
Partnerships, drivers, warehouse teams,they don't live on LinkedIn. Get in the field and earn their trust.

𝟕. 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐞.
What works today might break tomorrow. Stay curious. Iterate often. 
Stay lean and ready to pivot.

These lessons didn’t come from theory.

They came from real world execution, setbacks, and breakthroughs.
