Everyone's out here posting "3 tips to grow on LinkedIn."
And I'm about to do the same thing, except 
I'm not going to lie to you and pretend these are "tips."


These are the 3 content types that have made me money. 
Real money. Not just engagement. Not just likes.


Actual DMs that turned into calls that turned into contracts.
So if you're tired of posting into the void, here we go.


Content Type #1: The Confession Post
Not the "I woke up at 5 AM and crushed it" confession.
The "I absolutely screwed this up" confession.


Last month I posted about losing a client because I overpromised.
Know what happened?

Two new clients DM'd me saying they respected the honesty.
People are BORED of your highlight part of your life & business.

They want to see the bloopers because that's where trust gets built.
Post your L's. 
You'll be surprised who shows up.



Content Type #2: The "Wait, What?" Post

This is where you say something that makes people stop scrolling and go "hold on."

Like: "Posting every day is actually killing your engagement."
Or: "Your 10K followers are worthless if none of them have money."

Controversial + TRUTH

These posts get shared because people either violently agree or violently disagree.

Either way, your name is spreading.



Content Type #3: The Receipts Post

Show the proof.
Screenshots of client results. Before/after metrics. 
The actual DM where someone said yes.

Not "my client made 6 figures" (boring, vague, sounds fake).
More like "my client went from 20 likes per post to 150+ and closed a $15K deal in Week 3."


Specifics sell. Generics don't.


But, sorry to break this to you AGAIN!!!
None of these work if your profile is a mess.

Because the post gets attention.
But your profile closes the deal.


So you can write the best content in the world, but if someone clicks your profile and can't figure out what you do in 5 seconds?

You just lost them.

Fix the profile first. 
Then worry about going viral.

Be honest, you felt that. 😭

I'm sick of seeing your morning routine posts.


I don't care that you woke up at 5 AM.
I don't care about your lemon water.


I don't care about your 10-minute meditation, your gratitude journal, or the fact that you "crushed a workout" before your first meeting.


COOL STORY!!


But did you make money today?

Did you close a client?

Did you have a single conversation that moved your business forward?

Or did you just take a selfie with your green smoothie and call it "personal branding"?

You know what's hilarious?
Every time LinkedIn sneezes, the whole platform panics like their reach just got repossessed.


“OMG the algorithm changed!! My content is doomed!!”
 Relax.

 Your content wasn’t doing great before either.

The algorithm didn’t kill your content.
Your content killed your content.


Let me explain before you throw your tea!

Reason #1: You’re Optimizing for Views, Not Value
People keep asking me:
 “Jyoti, how do I get more impressions?”
Wrong question.

 Try:
 “How do I get people to stop scrolling and actually care?”
The algorithm follows humans. Not the other way around.


Reason #2: Your Post Has No Spine
Most posts on here read like
A diary entry
A school essay
 Pick a lane. 
And preferably one that doesn't bore people into another tab.


If your content doesn’t make someone think, laugh, react, DM you, save it, or stalk your profile…
Congratulations.
You just fed the algorithm a salad with no dressing.


Reason #3: Your Profile Is the Real Algorithm
I’ll say this again slowly
Your profile decides whether you get clients.
Your content just gets you seen.


So if your views dropped by 30%, but the right 10 people clicked your profile?
You still WON.


And if 10,000 people saw your post but none of them knew what you did?
You still LOST!!



SO, I don’t care.
 I don't adjust.
 I don't “crack the system.”

 I just do three things consistently

// Back it with proof
// Make it stupidly easy for people to work with me

The algorithm can shape-shift every week.
Your results don’t.

Posting your content and vanishing like a ghost. 💀


I see it every single day.
Someone drops a post.
Gets 5 comments.
And… nothing.

No replies.
No engagement back.
Just radio silence.


Then they DM me 3 weeks later asking, "Why isn't LinkedIn working for me?"


Bro???


You're treating LinkedIn like a billboard when it's actually a networking event.


You wouldn't walk into a room, shout your opinion, and leave without talking to anyone, WOULD YOU?


Yet that's EXACTLY what 90% of people do here.

What I learned after managing my own profile + 45+ clients' profiles over 2 years

The post isn't the product.
The CONVERSATION is.


I tested this with a client last month.
She was posting 4x a week.
Good content.
10/10 hooks.
But ZERO replies to her comments.


Her engagement- Flatlined at 20-30 likes max.


I told her: "For the next 2 weeks, let's reply to EVERY single comment within the first hour. Not with 'thanks', with real responses that ask questions or add value."


Week 1: Her engagement jumped to 80+ likes per post.
Week 2: She booked 3 warm calls.
Week 3: Closed her first $4Kclient from LinkedIn.


LinkedIn rewards conversations, not broadcasts.


When you reply thoughtfully, you're doing 3 things
→ Signaling to the algorithm that your post is worth pushing (more reach)

→ Building real relationships with people who might become clients, referrals, or collaborators

→ Showing up as someone who actually CARES, not just someone chasing vanity metrics


And the crazy part?

Most of your competitors won't do this.
They're too busy "staying consistent" with posting.


Which means if YOU show up in the comments like you mean it?
You win by default.

You lose the past personalities
You lose a few clients.
You change directions.
You outgrow people.


You rebuild
Again and Again.


And every time you think “this is the end,” life quietly proves it’s just a redirection.


If I look back, every phase I once feared losing became the reason for the next, better one.


Either it was moving to Dubai
Or leaving my data science career and getting into Marketing.

Or saying an absolute NO to being average and letting anyone decide my future.

LinkedIn has become a recycling center for motivational quotes and copy-pasted wisdom.

Everyone's posting.

Nobody's saying anything.

And then they DM me asking, "Why isn't my content converting?"


Because you're not creating content.
You're creating noise.


There's a difference between SHOWING UP and actually SHOWING VALUE.


Showing up = posting "Happy Monday" with a stock photo.

Showing value = 
Sharing what you actually learned this week, 
The client call that went wrong, 
The strategy that finally worked, 
The mistake that cost you money.


Real content makes people stop and think.
Recycled content makes people scroll faster.



If I can predict your post before I even read it, you've already lost me.



Meanwhile, the people actually winning on LinkedIn,

They're posting about their real experiences. 
Their messy Mondays. 
Their failed launches.
Their uncomfortable opinions.


Because that's what CONNECTS!

Not your copy-pasted "new week, new mindset" BS.

15. I start working 2–3 hours before my clients even wake up.
Those early hours, no pings, no Slack, no noise, are when I write the heaviest content, review strategy, and clear my head. 

Eat the frog first. It buys me calm for the next 14 hours.


14. Every single client hears from me at least once a day.
Even if it’s a 2-line update, they always know what’s moving.
Silence kills trust.


13. Timelines are sacred.
I over-communicate when we’re ahead, and I over-communicate when there’s a risk.
Either way, they never guess where things stand.


12. Engagement is a non-negotiable task, not an afterthought.
I block time for it the way others block meetings.
Comments → DMs → positioning.


11. Weekly systems check.
I zoom out, review campaigns, funnels, and messaging.
Fix small cracks before they become reputation leaks.


10. I reinvest.
Coaches, programs, tools. Every month. Not optional.
What I know directly compounds into my clients’ results.


9. No copy-paste solutions. 
Every hook, every CTA, every DM script comes from context, not templates. and I learn those every single day


8. My phone stays off for the first 2 hours.
If I don’t control the morning, I lose the day.


7. I spend 90+ minutes daily putting myself in front of the right audience.


6. I document small wins.
They add up into case studies that build authority without bragging.


5. I test privately.
By the time something touches a client’s account, I already know it works.


4. I choose clients I’d proudly vouch for.
Wrong fits = wrong energy.


3. I treat every line I write as a trust-builder.
Every. Single. One.


2. I don’t chase vanity metrics. I chase outcomes, and that's why clients sign me up for not 1 month but for a year at least.


1. Conviction.
If I don’t believe in what I’m building for them, neither will they.

That’s how credibility compounds.
By habits no one claps for.

So let's go.


PART 1: The Hook
First line either makes them angry or curious.
That's it. Two emotions. Pick one.


Bad hook: "Here are 5 tips for better content."
Good hook: "Your content strategy is trash. Let me fix it."
If I scroll past your first line, you lose!



PART 2: The Setup
Now paint their problem so clearly they think you've been reading their diary.

"You post 4 times a week. Get 30 likes. Zero DMs. Zero clients. 
And you're wondering if LinkedIn even works."

This is where they stop and go, "Wait, how does she know?"


PART 3: The Story

Give them a real example.
Yours. A client's. Someone who had this exact problem.


PART 4: The Fix
What changed? What's the one thing that flipped everything?
Keep it stupid simple.


PART 5: The Proof
Numbers. Real ones.
"3 weeks later: 8 inbound DMs. 4 calls. 2 clients. ₹4.5L closed."
Specifics sell. Vague doesn't.


PART 6: The Invitation
Open the door.
"If this sounds like you, let's talk."

That's the whole CTA.

Hook = Stop them.
Setup = Show you see them.
Story = Prove you've done it.
Fix = Give them hope.
Proof = Make them believe.
Invitation = Let them decide.

One post a week with this structure will outperform 30 "motivational Monday" posts.


Used by my 45+ clients. 19 calls in a month. Clients closing $8K deals. 
Founders are getting inbound interest from investors.
This works, only if you really understand the nitty gritty of this.

I haven't worked a 'normal' job in 7 years.
And honestly?I don't miss the stability.

My last job was as a digital marketing manager in Dubai. Good company. Great culture. 
Stable paycheck hitting my account on the 1st of every month like clockwork.


But I felt like I was living someone else's life.
Not because the job sucked. It didn't.

But I grew up watching my father and uncles build businesses. 
Real ones. Messy ones. 

The kind where you're solving problems at 2 AM because no one else will.

And somewhere in my bones, I knew I had to do that too.
So I left.


When I was 16, I had an app idea, zero funding, and literally two figures in my bank account.
(Yes, two. Not even three. Let that sink in.)

I didn't ask my father for money because this wasn't about the app.
so yeah, from childhood I knew I wanted to build something of my own!! 


And while building my marketing business was also to prove myself I could build something without a safety net.

Plot twist: I've had months where I made $0.

Months where my friends were buying cars and I was refreshing my bank app hoping a payment would clear.

There were nights I thought, "Maybe I should just get a job again."
But I couldn't.

Not because I can't. I absolutely can.
But because the idea of going back felt like giving up on myself.


Fast forward to now.
I work with lending businesses. Real estate firms. Recruitment companies. Investors. Fitness experts. CEOs building empires.

I help them turn their LinkedIn profiles into revenue machines.

And I do it from wherever I want. Dubai. Bali. Oman. 
My parents' house in India.
Because LinkedIn gave me what a job never could.

CONTROL.


You trade certainty for possibility.

Bro. I don't care about your coffee.

So I went on a massive unfollow spree.

AND
My feed actually became... useful?


I started seeing posts from people who
→ Share real strategies, not recycled quotes
→ Talk about their failures, not just their wins
→ Post once a week with substance instead of daily fluff
→ Actually run businesses instead of just talking about running businesses

My engagement went UP.
My content got BETTER.


Because I was consuming quality, not quantity.

And the best part was- 
My clients started noticing the same pattern.

The more they curated their feed, the sharper their own content became.

Because garbage in = garbage out. HAHA


So here's my new rule 🫠

//-If I scroll past your post 5 times in a row without stopping, you're gone.
//-If your headline is longer than my attention span, you're gone.
//-If I can't tell what you actually DO after visiting your profile, you're gone.


Harsh? MAYBE!

But my feed is prime real estate.

And I'm not letting random motivational quote accounts squat there rent-free.


So, What's the most annoying type of LinkedIn post you wish would just... disappear? 👇

This ONE sentence has booked me more calls than any CTA I've ever written.



Want to know the dumbest thing that works?
One sentence in my DMs.

Just six words that people can't help but respond to.


And I'm about to give it to you for free because, honestly, most of you still won't use it. 👀


"If this sounds like you, let's talk."

Wait, that's it?
YUP.


Last month alone: 8 calls booked.
From DMs. From post comments.
 From people I've never even spoken to before.


And 9 out of 10 times, they reply:
"Yeah, I'm free Thursday at 3."
No "let me think about it."
No "send me more info."


Just immediate action.


Because what nobody tells you about selling on LinkedIn.

People are TIRED of being marketed to.

They're tired💀

 "Click my link"              
agh!


 "Book a slot NOW"           
aghh!


"Limited spots available" (that magically never run out)           
aghhh!


"Comment YES and I'll send you the details" aghhhhhh!!!           
NOO!


They want a normal conversation.

So when I reach out, I'm not "prospecting."


We reach out to exactly the person who we KNOW will benefit from our work.


Even with clients, we prepare a list of high-potential prospects and then do our DM magic.


The kind that sounds effortless. 
The kind where THEY feel like they need US, not the other way around.


And then I say something that sounds like a friend, not a marketer:
"If this sounds like you, let's talk."


Just an open door.


So if you're struggling with your CTAs, try this.
Stop asking people to "take action."
Start inviting them to a conversation.


Because the goal is to get the right people to raise their hand and say, 
"Yeah, I need help with this."


And once they do?
That's when the real work begins.

To come up with angles, campaigns, captions, stories- NONSTOP!

I used to guilt myself for it.

“Come on Jyoti, you *should* be more creative.”

Until I realized, creativity is NOT a trap!
It’s more like the ocean.

You can’t force the waves, you just learn when to surf them 🌊

What I started doing when burnout hits (and trust me, it hits hard in this line of work):


→ I stop trying to produce
Instead, I consume.
I scroll intentionally, studying tone, visuals, hooks, not to copy, but to refill my creative tank.


→ I change the setting.
I’ll take my laptop to a café or just walk without music. 9/10 my best ideas hit mid-espresso or mid-walk.


→ I let things breathe.
I used to overpush campaigns till I’d hate them.
Now I walk away for a day, and somehow, the next morning, it clicks.

→ I talk it out.
Half my creative blocks get solved just by ranting to a teammate.

Not brainstorming, *RANTING*. The rawness helps.


Burnout doesn’t mean you’ve LOST your spark.
It usually means your brain’s just begging for quiet.

I ran my entire business from a beach in Bali for 4 weeks.
And honestly, it was EVERYTHING I dreamed of.
But also nothing like what Instagram makes it look like.



I'd been in Dubai for almost 5 years. Got comfortable. 
Maybe too comfortable.


One day I woke up and thought, "When did I stop moving?"

Bali had been sitting on my vision board for months. 
So I just booked the ticket. Packed my laptop. And went.

The freedom part was absolutely incredible.🫠


But what most creators won't tell you when they post their Bali beach pics.


I worked 60-70% of that trip.
The other 30-40%, That's when I actually traveled.


Because here's the thing about running a business from ANYWHERE in the world.

Location freedom is real. But accountability doesn't take a vacation.


I still had client calls to show up for. 
Strategy sessions to deliver. DMs to reply to.


The quality of my work couldn't drop just because I was in a different timezone.

So yes, I ran my business from Bali. And it worked beautifully.


But only because I built systems on LinkedIn that let me work from anywhere without dropping the ball.


My content was running 24/7. My profile was selling while I was offline. My clients knew what to expect.


That's the part people don't show you.

The 6 AM calls because of timezone differences. 
The hostel co-working spaces. The days where you choose work over the beach because a client needs you.


But you know what? I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Because freedom isn't about escaping your work. It's about designing work that doesn't TRAP YOU!.


And in 2026, I'm already planning my next move.
Because that's what LinkedIn gave me. A career that moves when I do.

Keep it real. Skip the corporate speak.


4. The Lesson (4-6 lines) What you learned. What changed. 
The shift that made everything click.
This is the "aha moment" you're giving them for free.


5. The Proof (2-3 lines) Numbers. Results. Specifics.
"Client went from 15 likes to 120+ and closed a $10K deal in Week 2."
This is what turns skeptics into believers.


6. The CTA (2-3 lines) Not "link in bio." Not "DM me for more info."
Ask a question that gets them thinking. 
Or give them one clear next step.


"What's stopping you from posting consistently?"
Or 
"If you're ready to fix this, link's in my Featured section."


THAT'S IT

How the f*ck do you write hooks that make people actually STOP for 2 seconds?


Because most of you are opening with 

"Here are 5 tips to improve your LinkedIn presence."
"I've been thinking about growth lately..."
"Happy Monday! Let's crush this week."
And wondering why nobody stops scrolling.

Bro.
Your hook is BORING.😌

And boring = invisible. 🥲

Let me be clear.
You have 0.5 seconds.
That's it.


Half a second for someone to decide if your post is worth their time.


15 HOOK LINES THAT STOP THE SCROLL


1- I made [₹X] from one LinkedIn post. Here's the exact structure.
2- Most LinkedIn 'experts' have never closed a [₹X] deal here.
3- You're making a HUGE mistake with your [profile/content/DMs].
4- I spent [X hours/days/months] testing this. Here's what actually works.
5- This ONE sentence has booked me more calls than any CTA.

You'll notice the pattern in all
→ They're SPECIFIC (numbers, timeframes, exact results)
→ They create EMOTION (curiosity, shock, frustration, hope)
→ They PROMISE value (you'll learn something or feel validated)


None of them say "I want to share..." or "Here are some tips..."
These hooks? They slap. HAHA you get it right?


So pick one. Customize it. Test it.
And watch your engagement actually turn into something that matters.

And to be honest, It was not because I'm some LinkedIn guru sitting on a mountain of wisdom.

12 months of


→ Posting consistently (with zero strategy)

→ Hiring "experts" who gave him templates (that sounded like everyone else)

→ Spending money on courses (that taught theory, not execution)

Without a single DESPO energy!!

Most people teaching LinkedIn have never even closed a client from it.

They're recycling advice they read somewhere else.

Stop trying every "hack" you see.
Stop believing that posting more = growing more.
