I’m back after a two-month break from LinkedIn.

And a few things changed while I was away.

First, LinkedIn feels louder than before.
More opinions. More noise. Less depth.

Second, everyone seems to be in a rush to sell something.

Faster pitches. 
Shorter attention. 
Quicker judgments.

And third, genuine conversations feel rarer.
But when they happen, they matter more than ever.

But more than all of that, something else happened.

When I opened LinkedIn after those two months, I saw hundreds of unread messages.

Messages saying:

“Ifti, are you okay?”
“Where did you disappear?”
“Hope everything is fine on your end.”
“LinkedIn doesn’t feel the same without your insights.”

I didn’t expect that.

And that’s when it hit me.

Over the last year, without being loud or trying to impress, I had built something real.

Not just content.
Not just visibility.

A small, loyal community of people who cared beyond the post.

And that means a lot to me.

So yes, I’m back.
But things will be different this time.

This profile won’t be about surface-level updates or chasing attention.

•	Developed and maintained project schedules using Asta Powerproject in the construction of façade and fit-out work packages, including roofing, cladding, lobby entrance, resident lounges, gym, and landscaping. 
•	Liaison on site with operations team and sub-contractors to build detailed schedules, conducting weekly site observations to gauge and record progress of the project, whilst analysing and tracking progress by baseline comparison and reporting actual progress against planned progress. 
•	Assessed and presented schedule data in a detailed but simplified manner for programme reviews, developing and issuing various reports to stakeholders including senior management. 
•	Conducted weekly and monthly programme meetings with site team and senior management, sharing project schedule WBS levels 4-6 and 1-3 respectively as well as producing weekly and monthly reports on missed milestones, KPIs, cost and schedule analysis. 
•	Conducted logistic and resource planning in line with sub-contractor activities, to understand and prioritise availability and produce smoother management of trades on site.

· Working alongside the delivery project manager and project management team towards managing a large subset of delivery for a Fibre City, with remit to deliver a defined number of structures (circa £30m). Fibre Cities projects assuring high-quality outcomes, delivery on time, cost, and quality
· I accurately developed and managed robust programmes through use of scheduling software - Microsoft Project, associated with my portfolio of projects considering all wider FND and external factors
· Identified and monitored all critical path activities of projects and milestones, effectively sharing period reports with stakeholders. Also planned and scheduled most of the fibre delivery activities liaising with the project team and field team to enhance seamless project delivery.
· Worked in conjunction with delivery project managers and programme teams to identify and incorporate risk-mitigating actions into the planned work scope and to incorporate appropriate time/cost contingency levels across the baseline schedules.
· Periodically coordinated and lead project progress review & updates meetings, with internal and external stakeholders including project managers, subcontractors, and government or council bodies
· Implemented Earned Value Analysis (EVA) to support the project team in assessing achieved and predicted performance against time and budget, recommending corrective measures.

· Supported the European Train Control System (ECTS) project planning and development 
· Assisted in coordinating the periodic reporting cycle. Ensuring cost, programme, and risk data were all captured within the data gathering window prior to project reporting or review week
· Reviewed sub contactor purchase orders, invoices, project activity programmes and performance using KPIs
· Worked with the commercial and estimating team to assist in developing project estimates, implementing Monte Carlo analysis quantify and determine the contingency cost while maintaining the importance of cost-efficiency
· Coordinating a team of developers and system architects to develop system requirements, test and commissioning plans, subsystem integration and deployment phasing
· Using Microsoft Projects and high-level milestones using Microsoft Visio.

Assistant Project Manager

•	Granted the opportunity to take on role as an assistant project manager for an industrial year placement. I Provided various levels of support to project manager in a project to construct the North-South Railway in Saudi Arabia, nationally as an important infrastructure project, whilst I also worked closely with the Saudi Railway Company. 
•	The project involved 6 passenger stations, 11 intermodal freight terminals, 8 depots and 15 sub-depots and the key aspects of the project were safety and assurance, network planning, network operations, network maintenance, operational infrastructure planning and optimisation, business planning and asset management development planning. 
•	Tasked with ensuring contracts, insurance and bonds were reviewed and up to date also maintaining project-related records, contracts, variations, stakeholders and committee meetings. 
•	Assisted in coordinating the project activities to ensure cost, schedule, document control and quality standards were met, including managing HSE and CDM regulations. 
•	Aided with project budgets, weekly reporting, forecasts and cash-flow, ensuring accurate reporting of progress against all aspects of project performance.

Ikenna is an experienced project professional with a demonstrated history and sound knowledge of project delivery within the built environment, highways, maritime, railway infrastructure projects and telecommunications. He has a high proficiency in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controls, having guided projects through strategic definition, feasibility study, preliminary and detailed designs, pre-construction, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, handover, and closeout. Ikenna is skilled in using the following project scheduling software to develop, update, monitor and maintain robust programmes and produce different level schedules – Oracle Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject and Microsoft Project. 
Ikenna also has a broad understanding and experience of implementing analysis techniques including Critical Path, Float Path, and Earned Value Management. A holder of Project Management Qualification awarded by the Association of Project Management as well as being a full member of the esteemed body, also previously acquiring a Bachelor of Engineering degree (BEng) focused on Aerospace Engineering.
