To live the life you desire, you must intentionally design it and consistently take actions required to create it. Everything else is a distraction.

Years of experience as a problem solver through product design and development has taught me a thing or two about intentionally designing and building the kind of life I want.

Now, I’m on an exciting adventure to fully live it and teach it.

Many years ago, I realized 2 things:
- My life wasn’t going as great as I’d like it to be
- I was gifted in and had comprehension for a lot of things but had so little result to show for it

This led me on a journey of self-discovery. Here’s what I found:
- I lacked self-awareness
- I wasn’t intentional about how I use the most precious resource we all have - TIME ⏲️
- Potential without productivity = waste. I wasn't creating

I was fed up and ready to make a change. I came out of that journey with a 35+ pages document about myself which will become a guide for others soon to do the same.

Today I am:
- Living an intentional life... by design
- Spending my time creating solutions for my world in the areas of my passion
- Teaching others to do the same

Develop operational policies and procedures for researching and compiling hiring partners’ data, as well as coordinate communication between stakeholders.
Monitor and provide technical assistance to hiring partners; work with team members to identify potential
enhancements to program development.

Program Operations

Decagon

Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and
generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive
growth.
Develop the business case for new products & improvements to existing products. Acts as the user/ customer advocate, articulating their needs.
Develop Product Strategy & translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes. Deliver MRDs, PRDs, User Stories, User & Process flows, with prioritized features/activities and corresponding justification based on business & customer impact.
Takes ownership of the product, ensuring that all products are delivered to the highest quality standards.
Works closely with the Engineering, Sales and Marketing team to ensure business objectives and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
Drive product launches including working with Public Relations team, executives, and other product management team members.
Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.

Associate Product Manager

My role as a program associate requires that I organize activities around the learning program(agile leadership) to ensure Decagon goals are met. 
Grade and provide feedback for agile leadership deliverables written by software engineers.
Provide weekly one-on-one performance based feedback to software engineers.
Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement
Facilitate activities within a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities
Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding program issues
Analyse program risks and act as scrum masters for simulated Decagon Projects amongst others.

An 8 weeks program, where participants are paired with mentors who have gone ahead in their chosen track. During this period, Mentees gain hands-on learning experience and also, networking opportunities with people across different time zones.

I also helped with growing its community and researching for ways to make the training program better for its future participants.

Mercy is a program and operations management professional with over three years of experience in Edtech and Web3 Sectors. She has facilitated agile leadership workshops, delivered soft skills sessions, and led placement readiness programs for tech enthusiasts and over 200 software developers at Decagon, a leading tech talent accelerator in Africa. She has also worked with several product teams, creating various product requirement documents, researching user personas, facilitating product demos, managing multiple stakeholders, and facilitating speaking engagements on product management. 

Her passion for helping more women transition into tech motivated her to work with Web3Ladies, where she has helped to onboard over 10,000 women in the blockchain/web3 space. She has also worked in Stack Shift to help experienced African tech talent accelerate their careers in web3. She is exploring the Venture Capital and Private Equity sectors to contribute her quota to solving the significant funding gap in the African VC ecosystem. She is also interested in ensuring a sustainable technology sector by being certified in green digital skills. She loves speaking at events and is driven by initiatives that empower and impact women's lives.
