Here is what we are seeing across the Amazon brands we work with. Sellers who leave prices static lose sales momentum fast. Price management shows up every day, not once a month.

The biggest misconception stays the same. Lowest price does not guarantee the Buy Box. Amazon weighs price, seller rating, and shipping speed. A slightly higher price with fast delivery and strong reviews often wins. If your rating drops below 90 percent positive, price cuts rarely fix the problem. 📦

Ignoring FBA limits growth. Prime buyers spend more and expect speed. Across our client portfolio, FBA listings support higher prices without hurting conversion. Two day delivery shifts Buy Box outcomes even when competitors sell cheaper. 🚀

Another costly mistake involves margins. We still see sellers chasing volume while selling below profit. Product cost, shipping, fees, and tax must sit inside every pricing rule. For our clients, pricing always starts with margin guardrails, not competitor panic.

One size pricing rules also fail. Competing against Amazon differs from competing against a new seller. Segmenting strategy by product, competitor type, and fulfillment model protects profit and sales.

This holiday season showed a clear shift in how people shop online. Total spend reached $257.8B. Electronics, apparel, and furniture drove more than half of it. Groceries and beauty also grew fast. 📦

Here’s what we’re seeing across the Amazon brands we work with. In 2026, IPI enforcement hits quicker and harder. Sellers fall under 400 and lose space within days, often before Prime Day or Q4.

400 is the floor, not the target.
 400 to 550 gives little buffer.
 550+ creates room to scale 🚀

When IPI slips, storage gets cut, winning ASINs get capped, fees rise, and cash sits trapped in inventory.

What actually helps is changing how you run inventory day to day. We clear excess and aged units early because slow stock signals inefficiency to Amazon and drags everything down. We focus on sell-through, not vanity sales, by tightening listings and aligning PPC with real demand so inventory moves instead of sitting. We check stranded inventory weekly and resolve issues fast since unsellable units waste space and send a negative signal. Amazon update tightens seller protections at the same time seller pressure stays high. The SAFE-T claim window drops from 60 days to 30 days starting February 16, 2026. The clock starts at the return delivery scan or the refund date, whichever comes later. For lost shipments, it starts at the last scan.
SAFE-T claims help protect you against buyer abuse, transit damage, and issues outside your control. A shorter window means less margin for missed scans, delayed reviews, or backlogged ops. ⏱️

There is more. On February 8, a separate change removes the value-based exemption from prepaid return labels. All US sellers must use the program, including sellers of high-value items. The message to sellers points back to SAFE-T for relief when refunds feel unfair. With a tighter filing window, risk concentrates.
